We continue to make interesting crafts from paper cones, and this time it's a paper elephant.

For work, you will need the following materials:

• Gray paper or cardboard. As an option - not very dark beige. This is for realism, but children may well show their vision of an elephant and, perhaps, it will be pink or blue;
• Very little yellow or white tusk cardboard;
• White paper for the eyes, but they can be replaced with ready-made moving eyes;
• Scissors, pencil, glue stick, compasses, black felt-tip pen.

Elephant made of paper rolled into a cone step by step

Torso

The body of an elephant is a cone, so at the first stage it must be done. For a not very wide cone, you need a quarter of the circle. To do this, you need to draw a circle of the desired size with a compass, divide it into 4 parts. One should make a cone. But in order to save paper, you can circle only the corner of the paper with a compass and cut it off.

Make a cone out of this segment and glue the edges.

Legs

For crafts, you need two legs, which are also in the form of cones. To do this, you need to cut off two quarters from the circle again, but make them a little narrower, that is, cut off one of the sides in each quarter. The circle itself should also be half the size of the one used for the torso.

Twist the segments into 2 cones, cut out the tail - a straight thin strip, widening on one side. Draw three wavy lines at the bottom of the legs.

Paper elephant head

Use a template and cut out the elephant's head based on the size of your craft.

Children can draw the head themselves to make their own unique animal. Also cut out yellow or white tusks, two white circles for the eyes.

Glue the tusks and eyes to the elephant's head, draw the pupils with a black felt-tip pen.

Now it's time to put all the parts of the elephant into a single whole. To do this, you need to glue the legs, tail, and after all the head on the cone - the body. That's it, the elephant made of paper cones is ready.

Origami elephant is one of the very exciting types of needlework, which will be interesting for both adults and children.

First, let's try to make simple origami elephant.

Stages of work:

1. We fold the paper diagonally on both sides, then restore its original position, as shown in diagram 1;
2. Having given the position of the paper the appearance of a rhombus, we bend its upper corner inward to the diagonal line along the dotted line in the direction of the arrow indicated in diagram 2;
3. On both sides of the folded corner of the sheet, along the dotted lines in the directions of the arrows indicated in Scheme 3, we bend the opposite corners of the rhombus inward, closing the first folded part with them so that an acute angle forms at the bottom. As a result of these actions, a cone-shaped structure with a top at the bottom is obtained;
4. We unbend the upper part of this figure along the dotted lines in the direction of the arrows indicated in diagram 4 outward, thus opening the first inwardly bent corner;
5. Bend the lower part of the figure up, as shown in diagram 5;
6. Then we unbend the end of the same lower part back, leaving about two centimeters of its bottom not unbent, as shown in diagram 6;
7. Along the dotted lines in the direction of the arrows indicated in diagram 7, we bend inward the upper corners of the resulting figure.
8. Expand the side parts of the figure in the direction of the arrows indicated in diagram 8.

Thus, we get the head of an elephant with a gorgeous trunk and ears.

It remains to draw eyes and a smile, and your zoo of paper animals will be replenished with a wonderful elephant!

To make such an elephant with your own hands, you did not need much effort and a lot of time.

Of course, there are many more ways to make an elephant out of paper, but they are more laborious and require much more time, patience, attentiveness and perseverance.

For example, an elephant figurine made according to a certain pattern from a banknote will be a wonderful and original gift for your loved ones or friends.

With the help of several materials at hand, you can easily decorate the courtyard of a private house and the adjacent territory with your own hands. So, now the production of decorative figures from household waste is gaining popularity - plastic bottles, tires and many other items that have served their purpose. For example, there are several ways to make an elephant.

Bottle elephant

To make such a figurine (Fig. 1, 2, 3), the following materials must be prepared:

• 2 eggplants with a volume of 5 liters;
• a section of a bicycle camera;
• 4 plastic bottles with a volume of 0.5 liters;
• paint;
• plastic eyes;
• sand;
• copper wire;
• 15 cm of packing tape.

The whole process of making a figurine is easy to do with your own hands, you can involve children in the work. Small bottles should be filled with sand to give them stability. It is enough to pour in 1/3 of the volume and tighten tightly (fig. 4).

Ears and torso will be made from five-liter plastic bottles. So, from the first one should cut off two lateral parts - they will become the ears of the future garden sculpture (Fig. 5). You can sew pink inserts from pink fabric for the ears - this will make the elephant more realistic.

All labels should be removed from the second eggplant and the remaining glue should be removed - this will allow the paint to be applied evenly. You also don't need a handle and lid. Four identical holes must be drilled on one side for half-liter plastic bottles (fig. 6).

On the back of the eggplant, make holes for the ears and fix the blanks in them (Fig. 7).

At the bottom of the large bottle (body), you need to make a small cut and insert the packing tape there. The edge of the tape should be slightly cut to make it look more like a ponytail (fig. 8).

A cut of the bicycle tube should be inserted into the neck of the eggplant - ¼ part will be enough. If the neck is wider than the chamber, you can seal it with ordinary rubber bands (fig. 9). Instead of a camera, you can use the remains of an old watering can - its nose just repeats the shape of the trunk.

At this stage, you can start fixing the plastic bottles to the elephant's body. The holes can also be sealed with rubber bands or rags. This will create the legs of the animal (fig. 10). If you wish, you can sew all the parts together with your own hands, using copper wire for this - so the structure will be more durable.

Now you need to paint the resulting figure and wait until it dries completely (fig. 11).

The eyes of the baby elephant can be borrowed from any old plush toy or bought in a craft store, and the eyelashes and mouth can be painted with contrasting paints. A figurine from plastic bottles is ready!

An elephant made from old tires

Old tires provide a lot of room for creativity - they can form the basis for many fancy shapes. So, you can make a cute elephant out of a tire with your own hands.

To create such a figure you need:

• 2 tires;
• screws;
• shoe and ordinary knives;
• paint;
• rubber from the car camera.

Butchering tires is very easy, you can do it yourself. Using a boot knife from the lower tire, it is necessary to cut out the elephant's tusks, as shown in the figure (Fig. 12). Instructions for ripping the tire: with a knife it is necessary to carry out the same cut several times, carefully pressing on the board so that it expands. After that, you can insert a regular knife into the cut and continue cutting the tire in the desired direction.

The first tire is driven into the ground as deep as possible - it must be stable. In the front part, two thin strips up to 25 cm in length are cut out - these will be tusks.

You can give the structure more strength if you attach the tread part of the tire, tapering to the end, to the upper tire - it will imitate the tail of an elephant. It can be screwed on with screws.

The head and trunk of an elephant are cut from the second tire. If you wish, you do not have to cut out the trunk, but use the spout of a plastic watering can instead. You can cut out the eyes and ears from the pieces of the old camera. All parts can be sewn together or fastened with copper wire.

You can also make such a cute elephant (fig. 13). For its manufacture, one tire is enough - all cut out parts must be sewn together with a thin wire. With paint, you can paint the animal's eyes.

Rubber band elephant

Small multi-colored elastic bands are now very popular in needlework - they are suitable both for creating bracelets and various figures.

To create such an elephant (Fig. 14), you need to prepare:

• a set of elastic bands of the same color;
• weaving hook;
• weaving machine.

You should start work with making a trunk - this will require up to 30 rubber bands. You can weave such an elephant with your own hands, but this will require patience and a little preparation.

The trunk can be crocheted, creating one after the other loops from the elastic bands twisted in half. The rest of the body is woven using a special machine - the head is fixed between several hooks and more and more elastic bands are woven into the toy one by one.

The ability to fold and create different figures and animals from paper is a very entertaining hobby. It will not only help you have fun, but also delight your baby.

Make appliques, origami and develop your kids' creative skills. Today it has become very popular to make a paper elephant with your own hands. The elephant is a symbol of strength, longevity, compassion and wisdom. It is believed that having an elephant figurine at home is to bring harmony and happiness to the family. 1. Take A4 sheet, divide it in half and cut it carefully. Then we put glue on the edge and glue the paper in the shape of a cylinder. In total, we need 4 such cylinders - these will be the legs of the elephant. We glue the cylinders together.

2. Take another half of A4 sheet and make the body of the baby elephant. We glue on both sides to the cylinders, as shown in the figure.

3. Make another cylinder from half A4 - this will be the head and glue it to the body.

4. Take another half of A4 sheet and cut off two identical strips 2.5 centimeters wide from it. From one half we make a trunk (we glue one part to the head, wind the other like a serpentine and release). We make a tail from the second half.

5. Fold A4 sheet in half and cut out two identical circles - these are ears. We glue them to the head.

6. We glue the eyes. You can buy them ready-made or draw them yourself.

7. Cut out elements for the legs from white paper. Cut out two equal strips of 1 centimeter. Then we fold one ribbon four times and cut out a semicircle on one side. We get four blanks and glue them to the legs of the elephant calf.

The elephant is a very revered animal in many countries. It symbolizes great strength, wisdom and even longevity. That is why elephants are often used as figurines, figurines and soft toys as interior decorations. And kids are very fond of these big, but funny animals.

Find unnecessary scraps of fabric, buttons, lace, various ribbons, braid, beads, beads may come in handy. Not all this is necessary, just what you have at home. Old clothes are perfect, which are not a pity to waste for the sake of such a creative business. It is easy to find buttons and all of the above on it. Choose absolutely any color of fabric to your taste or to your interior. A multi-colored elephant in a small flower, in a cage or strip will look most effective. In general, the choice is yours.
You will also need a piece of white or any other plain fabric for the elephant's tusks and absolutely any other, preferably contrasting, for the inside of the ears and for decorating the toy. For stuffing, use a synthetic winterizer, if the toy is intended for a baby, or cotton wool, rag trimmings, then the elephant will not be so soft, heavier and more stable, which is preferable for decorative purposes. If you want to add extra rigidity, use a wire frame for the entire figure or just the legs.

The manufacturing process begins with a pattern. You can use a ready-made one or come up with your own. It is important that the product is not too small. In fact, the smaller the craft, the longer it will take to tinker with it due to the small details and scrupulousness of working with them.

Draw the pattern on paper or plastic wrap and cut it out with scissors.

Transfer each detail to the fabric, while if the right and left sides are provided, do not forget to turn the pattern over so as not to get non-paired elements.

2. Head with trunk (can be cut separately or together with the body by cutting holes for the ears at the junction) - 2 parts

8. Ear - 4 parts

When all the elements are drawn on the fabric, you can cut it out. It is advisable to step back a little from the edge of the pattern in order to leave a seam allowance.

Sew the details - two halves of the body with the head, to which the inner parts of the legs are initially attached, the feet are sewn to the legs, then the belly, one side of which is not sewn up, so that there is a hole for stuffing.

Do not forget about the ears, tail and tusks - they are already in finished form, put in the front side inward in the right places and fastened while sewing the entire product.

The elephant's rag skin is turned inside out. Now it remains to fill it tightly through the hole in the belly and sew it up.

The most interesting part of the work begins - the decoration. The buttons will serve as great eyes for an elephant. And one could stop at this - the child will be happy with such a result.

But we go further - we sew an openwork patch on the back of the elephant from the same fabric as on his ears, decorate it with buttons, decorate the legs of the elephant and the sides with braid, add lace. In general, we create beauty from what is, and whoever knows how. The main thing is a sense of proportion and aesthetic flair to get this or even better elephant, made with your own hands.
