  • A sheet of yellow square paper
  • Marker

Step-by-step photo lesson:

Take a piece of paper and fold it diagonally.

We unfold back in half.

We turn out the corner and fold the top side down.

Get a shape that resembles a rhombus.

Turn over.

We bend the corner to the left into a square.

Turn over.

We bend the sides in the middle. We will bend the upper corner on them. Then we will open all the bent sides.

Take the top layer of the bottom corner with your fingers and turn it up. Fold the sides in the middle and get such a rhombus shape.

We do the same on the other side.

We bend the upper side sides to the middle.

We bend the bottom corners in the middle of the craft so that they are on the sides. To do this, bend them first in one direction, then in the other. We open and easily place the corners in the middle.

We bend the right side down and then inward. Let's get the camel's hind legs.

We bend down the largest corner and get the front legs.

Now let's make the head. It should be bent downward at an angle. Then bend inward. Bend the left corner a little back to create the correct camel head.

We also bend the upper right corner inward of the craft.

Finally, let's draw the eyes of the camel.

On this, an origami paper camel is ready to please little fans of Africa and the hot desert.

Hello! I have been fond of the ancient art of origami for a long time and I want everyone to join this wonderful pastime. Follow my video tutorials and you, too, will be able to please your loved ones with cool and beautiful paper crafts.

All of us have at least once heard about such animals, which are often called "ships of the desert", from oriental fairy tales about Aladdin or from TV programs. Both adults and children know that this large animal is called a camel. In the distant desert, where it is very hot and little water, long caravans of camels walk ...

Slow and stately ships of the desert rivals even elephants in their endurance. While many have the opportunity to ride a camel on vacation or at the zoo, not many can feel like a real Bedouin sitting on this beautiful animal.

Today we together with you will be able to get acquainted and even make a little camel with our own hands. And once again, the ancient Japanese craft - Origami will help us in this. And, as always, we don't need anything other than a simple piece of paper and a little patience.

So, let's together, according to the scheme, fold our origami figure from a square of paper.

Prepare a square piece of paper and repeat all the steps shown in our diagram:

As you can see, assembling a camel figurine does not require any specific knowledge or a lot of time from you. Such a figurine can be assembled with a child in five minutes, then together they can come up with a name for the camel and even paint it. Having learned the art of origami and showing how it is done to your child, you can instill in him accuracy and abstract thinking from childhood. And a gift made by a child with his own hands will certainly delight his loved ones.

Origami camel is done like this:

Fold the short version of the basic bird shape.

1. Fold in a small part of the blind corner. Lift up the bottom corner.

2. Fold in the corners. Lower the corner.

3. Fold the side toward the middle and flatten the pocket. Make an incision. Bending down, lower the corner.

4. Make double zip folds at the bottom corners. Bend the corner at the top. Bend the corners on the right "mountain". Fold in the corner-tail.

5. Bend the corners on the hind legs, bend the corners "mountain". Make double zipper folds on the front legs. Bend the corner-head to the left.

6. Move the corner to the inside of the head. Bend the corners of the hind legs. Opening the corner, lift it up.

7. Make a camel's face: opening the work, bend the bent corner and open (flattening) the "pocket".

8. Fold in half.

9. Make double zippers at the neck, pulling the neck to the side. Fold in the ponytail. Decorate the limbs.

10. Glue the creases on the limbs for strength. The origami camel is ready. Install the figurine.
