Origami art has its roots in Japanese traditions, but today it has become very popular in most countries. Most often, only one sheet is used to assemble paper crafts, after which it must be folded in a certain sequence.

Traditional origami assumes that the craft will fold without the use of glue or scissors. The second variety in which paper sculptures are folded is called kirigami.

It is quite difficult to fold paper crafts with kids, but you need to teach this art from an early age. It takes some time and patience for a crumb to master the process of creating paper crafts. Start working when he is five years old, starting folding on his own, and the child at this moment can carefully observe the process. Then you can transfer part of the work to him, gradually moving on to more complex tasks.

Such a pastime develops motor skills, coordination of movements, creative and spatial thinking well. With its help, you can make a child diligent, help to learn the capabilities of the hands. It is also good to learn geometry with origami, because in technology they work with angles, a circle, a square and other basic concepts of science.

Today we will try to make the first paper craft, which the baby must cope with on his own. We will make a cheerful hedgehog from several flowers using the kirigami technique.

To make the figurine howl bright, take three contrasting colors. At the base there will be a small square that you need to bend diagonally to make a triangle. After that, a rectangle of a completely different color is selected, the width of the figure should be equal to the length of one side of the triangle.

From the resulting triangle, you should make the muzzle and body of the future hedgehog. To do this, bend up one side of the triangle so that the edge of the other side protrudes. Then you can turn the figure over to the other side.

In the next step, create the hedgehog needles from a rectangle. Let's make an accordion (corrugated model), bend the figure in the middle.

We glue the sides that are in the center. From the rectangle we get a "fan". An origami hedgehog on the back carries a ruddy apple, which can be folded from a small rectangle according to the above principle.

Joining the parts of the craft involves using a small amount of glue. You need to attach the needles to the hedgehog figure in the form of a yellow triangle, after which you can attach the apple to the needles. Draw eyes on the face, mark the tip of the nose on the protruding half of the figure.

Craft from colored paper by origami method " Sly hedgehog" can be performed with children of senior preschool or primary school age, both in a kindergarten group, classroom, and in the course of individual lessons with children. You will need a double-sided colored paper, scissors and glue, you can use ready-made eyes for decorative crafts. If desired, you can add a decorative addition to the craft for its subsequent play on by children in various types of children's activities.

1. Bend the sheet colored paper diagonally.

2. Cut off the excess protruding piece paper, thus obtaining a square.

3. Fold the square along the second diagonal, put auxiliary points to select small squares.

4. Fold the corners to the cents of the small squares.

5. Fold the workpiece in half and bend the corners inward.

6. Fold the workpiece in half again and rotate it 90 degrees.

7. Make cuts and bend the resulting legs on both sides of the craft.

8. Cut the top into strips of different widths.

9. Straighten paper thorns in both directions. We design the muzzle. We glue the eyes.

Lives in a prickly forest hedgehog... It is very small, but still. It can perfectly protect itself from both an owl and a fox. Thanks! I wish you creative success!

Dear colleagues, I would like to submit to your judgment the work performed by the children on Maslenitsa. During Shrovetide week, I proposed to the guys.

On the vernal equinox, the Russian people have long celebrated Maslenitsa. Among the calendar pagan holidays, Maslenitsa is the first among the Slavs.

One of the most common materials for children's creativity is paper. Paper crafts for children is one of the fun.

Despite the fact that there are already quite a few hedgehogs on the site, I want to offer another option for creating it. This time it is an accordion paper hedgehog, a funny and very easy craft for children.

Materials for work:

  • Colored paper or not very thick cardboard of brown and beige color;
  • Black felt-tip pen, glue stick, scissors.

Accordion paper hedgehog step by step

Cut a sheet of brown A4 paper in half along its length. You will have a long strip that needs to be folded into an accordion, starting on the narrow side of it.

Fold all the paper into an accordion. Depending on age, children can bend the folds, first in one direction, and then in the other from 5 mm to 1.5 cm.

Find the middle of the accordion and fold it in half.

Apply glue along either side and glue to form a fan. Sometimes you may need to go through the glue at the very bottom of this fan, holding the lower folds together. The hedgehog's needles are ready.

Now is the time to draw the hedgehog's appearance and paws. To do this, cut out a slightly elongated semicircle of beige paper, or better cardboard, the size of which is half accordion needles. Draw on this semicircle with a black felt-tip pen the eyes, nose and wide smile. Cut two stripes out of the same beige paper and round off the corners, these will be the hedgehog's legs.

Well, I'll finally fill in the whole master class here.

To get started, you will have to spend a few evenings making triangular origami modules.

We need Green modules - 40 pieces Blue modules - 40 pieces Lilac modules - 40 pieces Pink modules - 40 pieces Red modules - 40 pieces Orange modules - 40 pieces Yellow modules - 89 pieces White modules - 847 pieces Total 1176 pieces.

I put them here in such Christmas trees, 10 pieces each, so that they do not take up much space, they are easier to count and sorted by color.

We proceed directly to the assembly. As usual it is always more difficult to start, but you can do it !!! I believe! Firstly, you should remember from the very beginning that in this work, ALL colored modules are worn with the long side outward, and ALL white modules are worn short. Therefore, we start the first row like this: One color module with a long side, one white module with a short side, etc. (see photo)

In the second row (and in all even rows) ONLY white modules with the short side. (See photo) (Put the pockets of the modules of the second row on the corners of two adjacent modules of the first, so the modules are assembled-fastened into the product)

Third row - again we alternate white and colored modules, but this time with a shift: we put on the color module over the white module of the first row (of course, only with the long side), and over the color module of the first row we put on the white one (naturally with the short side). (see photo)

We perform the first three rows at the same time, until we fix it in a ring. Then we continue to build up one row at a time, following the correct alternation of colors and do not forget to wear white modules with a short side and colored ones with a long side. The photo shows 5 rows.

Well, it's time to give our star the shape of a vase, for this it is enough to raise the edge up so that the colored “needles” remain outside. We hold the vase with our hands so that it does not open and continue to collect. After a few rows, lo and behold, our product will keep its shape on its own.

Moreover, due to the fact that during assembly you did not forget to put on the white modules SHORT, and the colored LONG side - the vase turned out to be snow-white inside, and charming colored "needles" appeared outside.

Well, now you have come to the end: you have run out of all the colored modules, except for the yellow ones! It's time to check your result with what happened to me, and if everything coincides, you can proceed to the execution of the border.

Border! To complete the border, you will have to slightly violate one of our rules: We put on 2 yellow modules not on the corners of two adjacent modules, but straight on top of the modules of the previous row, then skip two modules and put on two more yellow modules in the same way and so turn the circle. Now those white modules that remained empty between the yellow ones are connected in the middle with another white module (see photo). Is it done? Sumptuously!
