How to make paper box filler. Filler for gift boxes. Making a bag of thick paper

Many people think that content is more important than form. And that you can give a gift without an extra wrap. However, some gift wrapping options will delight even the most discerning people.

Gift wrapping can be bought, but it is much more fun to do it yourself. Interesting types of packaging are even made of thin paper. This uses magazines and newspapers.

Common types of packaging include wrapping in colored foil.

Newspaper and colored lace are considered original packaging. Wallpaper serves as a beautiful wrapper. Materials with convex patterns will look interesting.

Various types of fabrics are used for packaging. Denim, cotton, silk or burlap are used.

The festive box is made in the form of a chest. The product is covered with a beautiful fabric and decorated with appliqués and clasps.

The packaging can be made in the form of a candy. It is made from a sheet of Whatman paper, which is decorated with pictures and congratulations.

When deciding how to decorate a gift, suitable materials are selected. The main decorative elements are satin ribbons, lace or floral. With their help, decorative bows are made.

Gifts are decorated with velvet, chiffon or brocade bows. Bows are decorated with beads, beads or chicks. If gifts are intended for a specific holiday, then it is worth using the symbols of this holiday. For the new year, snowflakes or Christmas trees are used. Gifts for March 8 are decorated with mimosa, and on February 23, a tie is considered relevant.

To create stylish packaging, the following rules apply:

  1. When using tapes, the corners are trimmed.
  2. The wrapping paper folds one centimeter on all sides.
  3. The right side is considered to be covering.
  4. You cannot glue the wrapper to the gift.

Various materials can be used to create stylish and original packaging.

They say that the first impression can be made only once. Filling the box in which you send an order to a new customer is the final touch of the first impression, and this touch can be decisive and most significant. Basically, the box allows you to make the first impression both the second and the third time. It all depends on its content and pleasant surprises for the buyer with which you can fill it. What exactly? Here are 7 ideas.

1. Letter of thanks

In electronic form, we all say “thank you” to the customer for choosing our store. But in most cases, this gratitude is just an addition to the order notification, an ordinary transactional letter. In rare cases, you will find sellers who purposefully send their customers separate thank-you notes. Even less often, such messages can be found printed on paper and enclosed in a box / bag with an order. Meanwhile, such a letter is a pleasant trifle that can decide the issue of future acquisitions in your favor.

This is how, for example, thanks to its customers EliseJoy.com.

Such a card is put into orders by the online clothing store Everlane.com.

2. Nicely done coupon

Coupons that you distribute to visitors on the site, in special mailings, are a useful and effective tool for increasing the sales of an online store. A coupon printed on high-quality paper and decorated exquisitely and tastefully is a tool that also solves an image problem. The cost of making such coupons is usually low and the result of their application will certainly allow "recouping" these investments. Of course, a beautiful coupon on paper can be combined with a letter of thanks, but, probably, in this case, both the coupon and the gratitude will lose a little in their image weight.

3. Coupon for a friend, exactly as indicated

You know for sure that a call to action should be made unambiguously interpretable and understandable from the first moment. Hinting, comprehending and shrewdness of visitors in calls to action probably only work in exceptional cases. The same is true for coupons inserted into orders. Do you want the recipient to share them with their friends, family and friends? Say so! Write on the coupon that it is for a friend. As an additional incentive, you can point out that the delivery of this coupon is an expression of special attitude, care and love. In the exact wording of such incentives, focus on your product group and.

A simple option with a clear appeal.

4. Paper catalog

Why not? Directory commerce, which seemed to have disappeared as ecommerce developed, until now. Catalogs have been popular with certain audiences, and they are. It's just that someone likes flipping through real pages much more than studying photos and descriptions on device screens.

By the way, the catalog put into an order may be limited: perhaps it makes sense to present only bestsellers, new items of the season, and sale goods in it.

5. Tickets to the theater, cinema

Why not? If your target audience is definitely interested in film art or regularly attends theater premieres, tickets will be a very pleasant and appropriate surprise. The possible outcome is, of course, the subsequent expansion of your audience.

A ticket to any session - let the recipient decide when and what to watch.

6. Probes

Probably the easiest and most obvious option. Want to buy something from you? Give this something to try. Yes, not all products have trial options, but you can almost always come up with what to invest “for trial”. Just choose the smallest package / package.

7. A gift accompanying the purchased product

Cross-selling without "selling", so to speak. Chinese colleagues, for example, practice such investments in orders all the time. However, in Russian-speaking e-commerce, pleasant little things in the order are also not such a rare occurrence. So if you are not yet making your customers happy - especially those who order from you for the first time - try adding surprises accompanying the purchased goods to the orders. Tracking their effectiveness is not so easy, but if the client returned to you, we can safely say that your generosity contributed to this.

I have already bought gifts for my loved ones for March 8th. There is still time, so I decided to decorate them beautifully. I love this business.

In principle, there is still time before the holiday, maybe you can advise on gift wrapping. And then I have a lot of gifts) but not very ideas and materials

You don't have to make the boxes to wrap your gift nicely. It turns out that they are for sale)) And I'm glad I bought them.

I ordered creams, masks and scrubs for my sisters in advance. This cosmetics can be presented without packaging and is so beautiful, but I do not know how. Everything should be beautiful and complete)

I bought in one store that in the center there are such ready-made boxes for 80 rubles.

Everything is very easy to do

here's the box))) and also with a bow

But, unfortunately, the boxes turned out to be larger than the gifts themselves. I didn't want my gifts to dangle inside the box and decided to fill them with something.

In the internet I read that you can fill the box like this:

but I didn't have any shavings or the like. Or material.

And I decided to use the remnants of wrapping papers and bags that wrap flowers in the markets))

and corrugated paper, otherwise I did not know what to do with it, for a long time

And we close it up to the top with leftovers

Then I closed the lid tightly and glue the ribbons already ready

We sign postcards for each and attach with clothespins

I thought about the next gift for a very long time than to wrap it up. The box is very large. Ordinary packaging gifts are already outdated and do not evoke any emotions. I decided to rummage through my things. And on the balcony I saw a huge package. It was decided to use it

And in this package from Milan I brought my son a gift from a Disney store) Chic store. I wanted to buy everything there. Eh. that I deviated from the topic.

The paper is thick, but you can bend it

Agree, the anticipation of a gift is no less pleasure than the gift itself! Ah, those sweet moments when you try to guess what is hidden inside an elegant box, you impatiently untie the satin ribbons, tear off the crunchy paper covers!

Masu box

For warm-up, I chose masu box - an origami box. You can roll one of these even in a taxi on the way to visit: you don't need any scissors or glue, just a couple of sheets of paper. Moreover, even those whose highest achievement in origami is paper airplanes will master the simple principle of their creation.

Scheme.
Notes and Tips:
1. For this box, I chose thick double-sided scrapbooking paper in Leonardo (40 rubles per sheet), but that was a mistake. First, the flip side of the paper would still be hidden in the end. Secondly, the paper turned out to be too thick and therefore unsuitable for origami: it bent poorly and cracked at the folds. As a result, they had to roll up from colored paper with a density of 120 g / m2 (10 rubles per A4 sheet), although a thinner one would fit perfectly.

2. Remember that the base must be smaller than the cover! I decided that if the sheet was cut by three to four millimeters, that would be enough, but in the end, the parts of the box still turned out to be almost the same.
3. You can decorate the box (and at the same time hide the extra folds on the lid) using ribbons (a set of five satin ribbons with New Year's prints cost us about 150 rubles). Perfectionist tip: to hide the edges, thread them through the slots in the lid (you can easily figure out where to make them) and glue them from the inside with glue stick. Remember to loosen the straps slightly so that the cover can be bent.

4. For this little experiment I didn't want to buy a package of filler for boxes at all, so I just cut thin craft paper into thin strips, in which the bouquet was once packed. It turned out beautifully and environmentally friendly!

Pillow box

Having warmed up on origami, we decided to make a "pillow box", which is very convenient to put sweets into.

Notes and Tips:
1. Before folding the box, make a crease along the fold lines - push them with a non-writing pen or other thin, but not sharp object. Without this, it will be almost impossible to bend a sheet of paper in a curve. (In general, we advise you to push through all the places of future folds.) And another tip - it's easier not to print, but draw the box diagram yourself. Yes, in order to draw a line of valves, you will have to use an improvised round object, but then it can be used instead of a ruler when scoring, because it will not work accurately by hand.

2. The valves on one side can be pierced with a hole punch to insert the ribbon. But I do not advise trying to glue them together: the valves are almost impossible to press against each other so that the glue seizes, besides, they are already very confidently kept closed.
3. For this box, I took pastel paper (16 rubles per sheet). The weight of 160 g / m2 was perfect for a small box, and the velvety surface reminded the starry sky and inspired the decor.
4. To decorate the box as we did, select the constellation you like and draw it with a white gel pen (it is better to do this on the box that has not yet been rolled up). To glue the stars (again, the beloved Leonardo, 72 rubles), dip the conic of a toothpick in glue, make a dot on the paper and attach a star. I used PVA glue, but keep in mind that it does not hold very well synthetic materials. Minor stars can be made from simple small sequins (they will cost about half the price of curly ones) - just apply glue to paper and sprinkle some magic dust on this place.

Envelope

The four-petal envelope is a beautiful, simple package that doesn't even require any glue from you. It rolls up easily and fits gift certificates, CDs, pendants and other small items.

Notes and Tips:
1. For this package, I took paper with a density of about 140 g / m2, but it was possible to choose a thicker one.
2. The petals can be decorated with sparkles - just run a cotton swab dipped in glue along the cut and dip the paper in them.

3. If your gift is not entirely flat, then you can make a "wall" several millimeters high near the box (as in the photo above).

Paper pyramids

And finally, my favorite is the paper pyramids! They look great and, despite their apparent fragility, are quite sturdy. The scheme for their creation is perhaps the most complicated, but nothing needs to be glued and intricately bent. Such a box will perfectly fit a handmade chocolate candy, a flash drive, jewelry, a Christmas tree toy ... Anything!

Notes and Tips:
1. For boxes - hurray! - the double-sided paper that was purchased for origami was perfect. Pastel also behaved beautifully.

2. On a red box, we cut out a snowflake with a breadboard knife, and so that it was not visible through it what was hidden inside, we used tracing paper - we cut out a four-pointed star from it to the size of the box and grabbed it with glue-pencil.
3. It is convenient to make holes for a tie-string with a hole punch, but in the absence of one, you can cut it with a paper knife or pierce it with a needle.

P. S.

In the 21st century, it is impossible not to think about saving resources and an ethical attitude towards nature. If your inner ecologist protests against packaging as a harmful excess, but you still want to please the person being presented with a beautiful box or securely wrap a fragile gift, then you can always find a compromise solution. I already wrote above that filler for boxes can be made from old parchment. Think, maybe, instead of origami paper, you can take a beautiful magazine sheet, instead of synthetic sequins, decorate the boxes with your own drawings, and replace satin ribbons with twine or cotton lace.
There are a lot of options for decorating gifts, it all depends on your imagination and, believe me, even if it seems to you that you do not have a single worthwhile idea, they will appear as soon as you pick up paper and scissors and start creating your first homemade box!

Decorative paper filler for gifts and boxes he is paper shavings for packaging is a thinly sliced cellulose strip. They are made from different types of paper: plain offset, colored in various shades, kraft paper, design paper, papyrus paper in silence, papyrus, corrugated cardboard. Sometimes different types of strips are mixed for best results. On our website, you can, if you wish, choose several types and colors of samples in order to create an individual type of your paper filler.

Tucked tightly between the object and the box walls, this decorative packaging material creates a sense of quality, the significance of the object placed in it. In addition, the paper filler protects the contents from accidental shocks, sudden changes in temperature, keeping fragile and sensitive to heat or cooling goods and gifts unchanged. The more the container volume wakes up filled, the less chance of damage. This is especially important for antiques and gift shops that send expensive and fragile items by mail or transport companies over long distances. Sellers of alcoholic beverages have long appreciated the advantage of using paper shavings, because it is not only reliable, but also beautiful packaging for expensive sorts of alcoholic beverages.

The width of the paper filler can be any, more often it is 1.5 mm, 2.5 mm, 3 mm. The degree of crimp and color of an individual strip may vary. The final decorative effect of the shavings will depend on this.

Note of information:

  • In order to emphasize the environmental friendliness of the goods, paper filler is used for gifts and boxes of light beige natural shades with a dense, non-uniform texture. Sometimes papyrus or corrugated cardboard. The latter can be unbleached. Framed with aesthetically pleasing filler, the gift or purchase will look more meaningful.
  • Thin, almost weightless corrugated strips of shavings of bright colors (lemon, scarlet, green) look very funny and impressive, creating a holiday mood. When you quickly open the box, they scatter, resembling fireworks.
  • Fuchsia-colored paper filler is widely used in decorating women's perfumes, homemade soaps.
  • Pastel shades of elastic stripes add sophistication to the gift and create an atmosphere of exceptional importance.
  • In the overwhelming majority of cases, the shade of the shavings is matched to the color of the item, gift placed in the container, or hoping to play on contrasts. There are situations when paper filler is selected according to its semantic meaning. For example, a gift for the birth of a boy is placed in blue papyrus paper, for a girl - in pink.

The shavings are specially formulated to create an aesthetically pleasing backdrop. This means that it can be placed not only in a box. Baskets, plates, vases, bowls, glasses - all containers can be easily filled and take on a truly magical look. Transparent vessels (crystal, plastic) look gorgeous with such a decorative filler. They decorate the floor, attach it to the walls and ceiling.

Basic paper colors + photo for reference:

The most common applications for decorative paper shavings for packaging are not only gifts: online shopping, floristry, support for the delivery of drinks, fruits, crystal and glass products, cosmetics. This list is far from complete. It looks original in children's crafts, when decorating rooms, creating photo sessions, stuffing stuffed animals. The paper filler can be recycled or even laid down as pet litter box. The shavings do not cause allergies, they are suitable for protecting and decorating both consumer goods and food products packed in a box: cakes, pastries, gingerbread, sushi, marmalade, fruits, etc.

We recommend all our customers to pay special attention to the density of the paper filler when making a purchase. The larger it is, the smaller the volume will be for the same weight of paper chips. Plain paper of different colors has a density of 80 g / m2, kraft and papyrus paper - 15 g / m2. or 17 g / m2, the design one is the densest, its parameters are 120 g / m2. Everything will depend on what effect you want to make on the shavings.

You can buy decorative paper shavings for packaging in a standard package of 50, 100 or 500 grams. Purchase in bulk from 1 kg is possible. When ordering, we recommend that you be sure to clarify and consult on the desired volume. Ideal is the amount of filler that prevents the item or gift placed in the box from moving. Also consider the approximate volume of the item itself, placed in the box.

The avalanche popularity of this type of filler is not accidental. Low cost combined with impressive decorative effect and practicality make paper shavings for packaging a very common material, especially for gifts.
