How to open a children's educational center step by step instructions. Toys and consumables. Ownership choice and okwed codes

Now, when more and more parents are realizing the importance of early development and education of children, opening a children's center can be a very profitable business project. So what should be taken into account if you seriously asked the question: "How to open a children's development center?"

Step one. We develop a concept

First of all, decide who and how you will develop. Set an age range, think over a work schedule, select the appropriate programs and methods. You also need to decide whether you will have groups of short-term or long-term stay of children, make a schedule of classes, decide on additional services.

Currently, there are many proven educational and developmental concepts. Each of them has its pros and cons, admirers and opponents. You can choose one program or create your own development concept, which will include separate elements and installations of different techniques.

Step two. Preparing documents

Before opening a children's center, it will need to be registered and formalized. First you need:

  • - from the Law "On Education" it follows that individual entrepreneurs have the right to engage in teaching activities on the same grounds as legal entities. You can start work from the moment of state registration.
  • To decide on, as a rule, this is 85.32 - childcare and childcare, 92.51 - organization of club-type institutions, 93.05 - personal services.
  • Open a bank account.
  • Register with the tax authorities.
  • Choosing a taxation system is the most reasonable option for the simplified taxation system (simplified taxation system). It requires minimal costs for bookkeeping.
  • If required, conclude contracts with third-party organizations for various services: removal of solid waste, disinfection work, disposal of energy-saving and fluorescent lamps, etc.

Please note that if you plan to provide educational services, you will definitely need to obtain a special license. To complete it, you need to collect and submit to the education department or committee a whole package of documents:

  • Lease of premises or ownership.
  • Conclusion of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision.
  • Conclusion of the State Fire Inspection.
  • Certificate confirming tax registration.
  • Charter.
  • Educational program.
  • Confirmation of the availability of training materials, methodological literature.
  • Data on teachers and educators, the number of children.

Due to the fact that the process of obtaining an educational license is long and difficult, at the initial stage of a business it is better to limit oneself to opening a development center.

Step three. Find a room

There are certain requirements for the premises in which the children's center is planned to be opened. First of all, it should be separated into an independent block - it can be a detached building or an apartment in a multi-storey building, decorated as a non-residential premises. It is desirable to have two exits - main and fire. A fire alarm must be installed, it can only be installed by companies with an appropriate license.

When preparing the premises, it is necessary to be guided by the provisions of SanPiN 2.4.1.2660-10 and SP 13130 \u200b\u200b2009 and observe the following rules:

  • Height from floor to ceiling must be at least 3 meters;
  • The room should have: a place for undressing with lockers or hangers, a room for studies and games, a toilet;
  • The walls must be smooth and withstand wet cleaning, it is recommended to use whitewash or water-based paint for finishing the ceilings, the floors must have a non-slip coating without cracks and defects;
  • The room must maintain a constant temperature regime without sudden temperature fluctuations. The optimal value is 19-21 °;
  • Sockets and switches must be located at a height of at least 1.8 m.

You need to obtain permits and approvals from Rospotrebnadzor only if you will be engaged in educational activities. In all other cases, it is enough to simply notify the officials about the start of work.

When the premises are ready, we order furniture, purchase toys, teaching aids, supplies for classes, sports equipment. It is better not to skimp on quality and buy goods from reputable and well-established companies.

Step four. We invite specialists

Your income and the fate of your business will depend on how literate, professional and child-loving your educators are. Pay attention to the education of applicants, do not be lazy to check their recommendations. Attend their classes regularly. Track the reactions of children and parents.

In addition to educators, you will also need: an administrator, a caretaker, a cleaner, a security guard. If you plan to provide additional services, you will need to look for a qualified psychologist or speech therapist. Planning to create long-term stay groups for children? Seek a healthcare professional urgently.

Please note that, depending on the OKVED, the requirements for the presence of a personal medical record for employees change. But in order to avoid conflicts and misunderstandings, it is better to insure yourself and undergo regular medical examinations.

Step five. We attract clients

  • Advertising in transport.
  • Banners and streamers in the streets.
  • Distribution of leaflets and business cards.
  • Own site.

Or unusual:

  • Weekly performances at the playgrounds of nearby houses.
  • Conducting a lottery or competition.
  • Viral advertising.
  • Chatting on local parenting forums.

Before starting an advertising campaign, be sure to decide on a budget. Focus primarily on the residents of the area in which you are opening your children's development center. If possible, arrange a bright and unusual discovery.

Step six. We develop business

Consider how you can increase the attractiveness of your center and get the most out of it. You can create a club for parents or a fitness section for mothers with children on the basis of the center, open a children's entertainment center or a special baby cafe, hold exhibitions or organize various master classes.

In any case, at the very beginning, you should imagine where you would like to move and how to develop. And it doesn't really matter whether you limit yourself to one studio, open several branches, or decide to completely change the concept - you must have a plan for how to do it.

Of course, working with children is difficult. But believe me, genuine delight, burning eyes and words of gratitude from your pupils will fully pay off all the worries and worries associated with the opening of a children's development center.

In this article, we will talk about how to open a children's development center, what you need to open it, and you can download a ready-made example of a business plan for free.

A development center for children or a small kindergarten is a pretty promising business in the modern world. There are more and more children, the birth rate is growing, the population is increasing. You can often hear from young mothers and fathers that it is very difficult to arrange your baby well. There are too many applicants, and there are not enough places in such children's institutions. Of all the children who need kindergartens, only about 60% have the opportunity to get there. But the kindergarten is not only help to parents, but also communication for the child.

What is the difference between a children's development center and a kindergarten?

In recent years, along with municipal kindergartens, a huge number of various children's development clubs and centers, as well as private kindergartens, have appeared. All of them are engaged in providing approximately the same services with the only difference in the level of teaching, the professionalism of teachers, the methodology of teaching kids and, most importantly, the approach to the business itself. Specialists of such children's development centers are trying to help parents make their kids successful, educated, versatile and happy.

For clarity of the differences, you can see the development programs, for example, the children's development center "Constellation". In some of their programs, the mother must participate. These techniques themselves are aimed at different goals: adaptation in kindergarten, individual development, etc. You will not find this in kindergartens.

Business plan

Since the differences are only in the methods of classes with babies, then it will suit you for opening this case. If it is not enough for you, then you can download more.

The main thing to remember is that your employees were professionals in their field, and not ordinary educators.

How to open a children's development center

How to open and what needs to be done to open a children's development center? If you love children, you have a competent approach to business, then it will not be difficult at all.

Factors to Consider Before Opening

If you seriously decided to start, then you need to do the following.

  1. Register an enterprise, company, go through all the standard procedure for legal activity. Now this is not difficult to do, all information can be found on the Internet, in legislation.
  2. Primary investments for a children's development center will be required from 500 thousand rubles. and more. Here you can take your own funds or attract an investor by drawing up a contract.
  3. The choice of premises - the more, the better: from 100 sq. m.
  4. Find good qualified staff to work with children.
  5. Have or acquire knowledge in psychology, pedagogy. This is necessary for the verification and selection of personnel, conflict resolution.
  6. Bank account - follow a simple procedure for opening.

If you decide to use the words "educational", "training" in the name of the company, but you must definitely get a special license. This is not necessary for a child developmental development center. For one teacher with a complete pedagogical education, an IP will be required, then it is possible without a license. In this case, the staff is registered for positions with the duties of a nanny.

Choose a simplified taxation system to maintain minimal bookkeeping without the involvement of expensive specialists.

Room selection

The room must certainly include:

  • reception room;
  • staff room;
  • playroom and study room;
  • bedroom;
  • bathroom with toilet.

Fire safety requires that the premises of the children's development center must be an independent compartment, have 1-2 exits, and a fire alarm.

The success of the children's development center largely depends on the teachers. Children will talk about them to their parents, and they will talk to their friends and relatives, potential clients. Of course, equipment and techniques are also important, but the main one is always the human factor.

Features of such a business

Almost always, children's development centers are open for nine months, because in the summer there are few who want to drive children. In this case, the rent is paid constantly.

The larger the city, the more competition. It is necessary to assess the demand for a service in a particular area, fashion trends. Most often, the development of children up to 2-3 years old, teaching a foreign language is required.

The payback period for such a children's development center is from 3 to 5 years.

The main expenses in such a business include:

  • rent;
  • salary fund;
  • security services;
  • tax deductions.

How to attract customers

The main clients are parents with children from neighboring houses. This is the main venue for the main advertising campaign. It should include announcements at doorways, inside houses, conversations with parents, invitations to events from a children's development center. It is good to organize various holidays, concerts, competitions for kids, invite parents and children there. This will increase popularity, attract new customers.

Popularity can be maintained, you can create it in different ways, for example, introduce some original innovative ideas, carry out promotions. But in this case, you will certainly need to contact an advertising agency, and this, as you know, is additional costs.

Now the opening of children's development centers is very promising. You need to be patient, courageous, not afraid of difficulties and gradually, over time, everything will pay off, and will bring a stable substantial profit. Better, of course, to start with your own premises without investors.

Kindergartens and development centers are not just an opportunity to open a business, it is a very useful, demanded, good cause. Your pupils and their parents will be very grateful to you in a well-organized process.

Children's playroom (children's entertainment center) is a place where a child or a group of children can spend their leisure time under the supervision of the staff of the institution.

The first such business directions began to be organized in Russia at large shopping centers about 10 years ago. First of all, entrepreneurs focused on the needs of visitors to these centers. Or rather, the need of parents to accommodate their children during a long shopping trip. The lack of preschool institutions in the country was also taken into account. Both factors have contributed to the fact that children's playrooms have become a very profitable and actively developing line of business.

On the profitability of the children's entertainment center and the importance of the place

Opening a playroom is much easier than a children's development center, and even more so than a private kindergarten. There is no need to obtain a license to carry out educational activities, highly qualified personnel are not required, and it is possible to organize a business with relatively low costs.

  1. When opening a soft playroom of 30 m 2, designed for a maximum of 20 children per day, you will need about 300 tr. (this will include the cost of repairs (15%), equipment (65%), rent (10%), company registration (5%), salary to personnel (5%). With an average monthly cost of 50 thousand rubles and income of 100 thousand rubles, the net profit will be about 50 thousand rubles.
  2. If you organize a game entertainment complex for children about 70 sq. m, designed for a maximum of 70 children per day, you will need at least 1 million rubles. With an average monthly cost of 80 tr. and income of 250 tr. net profit will be about 170 thousand rubles.

It happens that game rooms find their niche in sleeping areas, but this is more the exception than the rule. This mainly applies to remote places in which such a corner can become almost the only way to organize leisure for children and adults.

Franchise per topic: "Town of Masters" (franchise of a children's playroom, investments 390 thousand rubles, profit from 90 thousand rubles.

Normative base

Before starting a business, you need to try to carefully study the regulations regarding its organization. You can find out about them by contacting the territorial bodies of Rospotreb and State Fire Supervision. Employees of these services must notify about the sanitary standards and safety rules, the observance of which is necessary to open the children's supervision room. They will also provide guidance on the legislative base of local significance.

  • For example, the Moscow Consumer Market Department has developed special "Recommendations for finding children in children's playrooms ...".
  • It is also important to understand the documents of federal significance. In particular, with those regulations that relate to children's play equipment. It must comply with the requirements of international (EN - 1176) and Russian (GOST R 52169-2003, GOST R 52168-2003, GOST R 52167-2003, GOST R 52299-2004, GOST R 52300-2004, GOST R 52301-2004) standards security.
  • In accordance with the RF Law “On Protection of Consumer Rights”, Art. 9, 10 (clause 2) and Government Decree No. 1025, it is necessary to take care of the presence of a sign or a stand, which would indicate the details of the organization, the work schedule, the list of services provided, the procedure for their provision, prices, company rules, etc.
  • It is necessary to provide in advance for the availability of medical books for employees. (Order of Rospotrebnadzor No. 402). Special education documents are optional.
  • When preparing a room for a children's playroom, you must follow SanPin 2.4.4.1251-03 and SanPin 2.4.1.2660-10. It is imperative to carry out daily wet cleaning of coatings, washing of toys, etc.
  • It is also worth knowing about the types of criminal and administrative liability that are provided for causing harm to the life and health of a child in the event of certain actions or inaction of the playroom employees (69 Code of Civil Procedure, Art.79 of the Criminal Procedure Code, Art.118 of the Criminal Code, 109 of the Criminal Code, Art.1068 of the Civil Code , article 1064 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, article 151 of the Civil Code, article 1081 of the Civil Code).
  • The "Technical Regulations" dedicated to fire safety requirements will also come in handy.

What you need to open

  1. The company is registered at the tax office (LLC or individual entrepreneur). We recommend registering as an individual entrepreneur (individual entrepreneur). This will cost less and will allow in the future to apply preferential tax regimes - UTII, STS, and from 2013 a patent form of taxation.
  2. Next, you need to decide on the OKVED codes. We recommend to indicate: 92.7 - others. activities for the organization of recreation and entertainment.
  3. Then you should register with the Pension Fund and other extra-budgetary funds
  4. You will need a cash register, or strict reporting forms. They are subject to registration with the tax
  5. The room for the playroom must be brought in accordance with the requirements of the Federal Consumer Rights Protection and Consumer Rights Protection Department

Equipment for a children's playroom

In order to organize a small playroom, it is enough to purchase one children's labyrinth for 15-20 m 2, which will cost at least 180-200 tr. You will also need a table and a chair for an employee - 10 thousand rubles and lockers for clothes (about 800 rubles for 1 section). The set is minimal, in the future it can be supplemented as much as the owner's imagination and finances are enough.

Three-storey labyrinth for children's play

Not a single children's playroom can do without labyrinths. These spatial structures are usually made to order (about 1 month). However, sometimes, especially at sales, you can buy them ready-made. Labyrinths can be of any size (from 10 to 100 m2) and configurations (slides, obstacles, shafts, transitions, stairs, soft modules, climbing elements, a dry pool with balls, etc.)

Foreign variants of labyrinth game complexes

As a rule, one organization is engaged in drawing up a design project, manufacturing and installing a labyrinth. This play element is intended for children aged 3 to 12 years. Separately, you can put a children's trampoline, which will cost an average of 70-90 tr.

Children's trampoline

If your business is also focused on children 1.5 - 4.5 years old, then you need to arrange a separate corner with stuffed toys, construction sets, drawing tables, dry pools with balls.

Staff

Employees of the company must be able to work with children, understand the high degree of responsibility that is assigned to them. They are obliged to monitor the safety of equipment, order in the room, compliance with the rules by visitors. Usually students are hired for such work. universities or retired teaching staff. The work is carried out by 2 people in shifts.

Organization of activities

1 Game rooms are usually open from 9 am to 9 pm. The average payment for 1 hour of a child's stay is 100-120 rubles on weekdays and 150-180 rubles on holidays and weekends. Parents with children under 3 years old are usually admitted free of charge, while adults accompanying children over 3 years old are charged an additional 20-30 rubles.

2 The stay of the 1st child in the room should not exceed four hours. The rules need to spell out the obligation of visitors to pick up their children after this period.

3 An employee of the center must accept the child upon presentation of the passport by the parent. Information about the child and the time of his admission must be entered in a separate notebook or accounting program.

4 Employees of the company must ensure that incoming children are healthy. Babies with obvious signs of illness cannot be taken into the playroom. Otherwise, the reputation of the organization may be damaged, some clients will not want to return to places where they are irresponsible in matters of children's health.

5 On weekdays, most visitors are from 4 pm to 9 pm, when parents pick up their children from schools and kindergartens and go shopping. In the morning, you can try to increase the number of visitors by offering them discounts. They can also be installed for regular customers.

6 Consider seasonality. Children's rooms are in great demand between October and April, when the weather outside is less conducive to outdoor play. The decline occurs in the summer. In this season, many kids are trying to take out the countryside and spend more time with them on the street.

7 If you are determined to further develop the center and increase its profitability, then be sure to provide for the opening of such areas as the organization of holidays, competitions, creative circles, the creation of a children's cafe.

Every year there are more and more children, as the state stimulates the birth rate. And every mother wishes happiness for her child. She wants her baby to develop, improve her abilities and acquire new skills. It is for this reason that parents send their children to children's development centers. Such establishments are gaining more and more popularity every year, as they are an excellent alternative to classic kindergartens. More and more entrepreneurs are thinking about how to open a children's development center from scratch.

The specifics of the children's development center

Before opening a children's development center, a businessman must decide on the format of the future educational institution. In order to make a profit, an entrepreneur must think over a teaching concept. Its correct design will attract wealthy clients who are ready to give good money for the future of children.

When creating a children's development center, it is necessary to take into account:

  • the age of children to which the work of the development center will be oriented;
  • the principle of group formation;
  • the main direction of the development of children;
  • programs and methods on the basis of which the work of the institution will be carried out;
  • the period of stay of children in the center;
  • presence / absence of individual lessons;
  • possibilities of psychocorrectional work with children.

The entrepreneur then needs to conduct a lead analysis. The further development of the center will depend on the definition of needs. The wider the range of services, the more potential visitors.

The list of functions of a children's development center may include:

  • preparation for school;
  • art classes;
  • english language training;
  • developing activities;
  • dance lessons;
  • music lessons;
  • aerobics;
  • psychological counseling;
  • speech therapy lessons.

Choice of ownership and OKVED codes

Having decided to open a children's center, the entrepreneur must choose the form of ownership. For the type of business, you can open an individual entrepreneur or LLC. But we should not forget that the law "On education" applies to the cent. The functioning of a business cannot be carried out without a license. Having issued an individual entrepreneur without a license, an entrepreneur will not be able to hire teachers at the center. To carry out work, they must also have the status of individual entrepreneurs. For this reason, obtaining a license is mandatory.

It's easier to open an IP. But in the documents, the name of the entrepreneur with the prefix IP will appear as the official name of the center. But this does not prevent a businessman from assigning any name to an institution in advertising materials.

Having chosen the form of ownership, the entrepreneur must decide on the OKVED codes. The following codes are suitable for the enterprise:

  • 85.32 - babysitting;
  • 92.51 - club activities;
  • 93.05 - personal services.

Document portfolio

First of all, an entrepreneur must obtain a license, but only if he himself does not have a pedagogical education. Here you will need to provide the following documents:

  • lease agreement for premises or documents confirming its ownership;
  • sES permit;
  • fire service permit;
  • registration certificate;
  • educational program;
  • list of teaching materials and teaching aids;
  • information about the teaching staff;
  • lLC charter.

The package of documents must be submitted for consideration to the Education Committee, which is responsible for issuing such licenses.

It is more expedient to obtain a license when the establishment has already begun to generate a stable income. It is advisable to register an LLC before licensing. Until this moment, the entrepreneur can carry out activities as an individual entrepreneur and open a children's entertainment center. It does not require teachers with special education, but it will bring less income.

Choosing a location

The room must comply with certain standards

The following requirements are imposed on the premises:

  • detached non-residential premises;
  • availability of all necessary communications;
  • a fire alarm must be installed;
  • the room should have good quality wiring, good lighting and ventilation.

If repairs are needed in the room, then it must be carried out in accordance with the norms approved by SanPiN.

The list of requirements includes:

  • There should be a dressing room in the room, a place for a game room should be allocated. The latter can also be used for training.
  • The children's development center must have a bathroom.
  • Walls should be painted or covered with moisture resistant wallpaper.
  • Ceilings must be whitewashed or painted with water-based paint.
  • The floors must be free of defects, level and non-slip. In many children's centers, floors are covered with special coatings.
  • Outlets and switches should be located at a level that the child cannot reach.

After renovation, the premises must be approved by Rospotrebnadzor There should be nothing extra in the room. Remove all objects that could cause injury to the child.

If it is planned to open a children's development center in a city with a small population, then it should be located in a building located on the central streets. The institution can also be located in a shopping center. To get started, a room with an area of \u200b\u200b50 squares or more is suitable.

If an institution opens in a big city, then the entrepreneur must take into account the presence of nearby competitors and the proximity of potential customers. Preference should be given to the choice of premises in the city center or to place the center in residential areas. Do not forget that grandmothers and mothers prefer to take their children to establishments that are within walking distance.

It is not worth locating an elite childcare center in an ordinary "working" area. You won't be able to find paying clients here.

Necessary equipment

The equipment is purchased depending on the list of services that the institution plans to provide. For the work of the center you will need:

  • playroom furniture;
  • expendable materials;
  • toys;
  • office equipment.

All equipment, play and educational materials must be certified. The certificate must confirm their quality and safety for visitors to the center.

To save money, consumables should be purchased in bulk.

Staff of the children's training center

The staff of the children's center must have the necessary qualifications

The selection of personnel is carried out depending on the services provided. For the normal functioning of the center, the staff of the institution must include:

  • administrator;
  • cleaning lady;
  • two educators;
  • english teachers;
  • art teacher;
  • dance teacher;
  • aerobics teacher;
  • speech therapist;
  • psychologist.

Teachers and educators must have appropriate education.

When hiring workers, an entrepreneur should not be afraid to ask questions. Not every person with pedagogical education can find contact with children.

If an institution is positioned as a development center, then it should produce results of work. Parents are often interested in the success of their children, so the owner of the children's development center must develop a system for assessing the success of the pupils.

Advertising

Potential clients need to be interested. Even before opening the center, you should start an active advertising campaign. To attract visitors, you should:

  • During the renovation of the premises, it is worth making an announcement about the imminent opening of the center.
  • The opening of the establishment should be bright and memorable. You can arrange a party for children. The entrance should be decorated with bright balls.
  • You can invite potential clients through women's forums. There are sure to find those wishing to visit the institution.
  • You can leave your business cards at the nearest offices and shopping centers.
  • It is necessary to post flyers not far from playgrounds.
  • Placing a bright sign at the entrance will attract potential customers.
  • The entrepreneur must create a website for the organization and a group on social networks. On the pages you can talk about the events of the center, new pedagogical programs. The testimonial section will allow customers to share their impressions. The center must provide high quality services so that people can start leaving positive feedback.

Business costs and return on investment

The business plan must include a calculation of capital expenditures

An entrepreneur will need at least 600 thousand rubles to open a children's development center.

The cost of opening a children's development center (average):

Table. Capital investment

The average payback period for a child development center is 24 ... 30 months. The average monthly profit is about 200 thousand rubles. The net profit is at the level of 60 thousand rubles per month.

For additional profit, experts advise organizing various children's activities at the center. An entrepreneur can organize the sale of educational toys, books, art supplies and accessories.

In the evening, one of the rooms can be rented out to a private psychologist.

Master classes with a teacher can be held not only for children, but also for the parents of the pupils. This contributes to an increase in the rate of payback of the children's development center.

The easiest way to open a children's studio is to buy.

But if you still want to do it yourself, we offer you step-by-step instructions from an expert at SandLand.

Business with children has become more and more popular lately. There are several reasons for this - firstly, the trend for the early development of children is capturing the minds of an increasing number of parents. Almost from the very birth of a baby, mothers and fathers think about how to develop the creative abilities of their child, how to make him smarter and more educated, how to contribute to the full and multifaceted development of the personality.

This issue is especially acute for parents of children aged 3 to 5 years. It is at this age that any parent tries to invest the maximum in the development of the child, enrolling him in various sports sections and creative circles, schools of dance, music, etc. If a few years ago the number of proposals to spend children's leisure time with benefit was limited to sections and circles of city centers of children's creativity, as well as specialized art, music and choreographic schools, today the situation is changing radically.

Now the industry of children's leisure and early development is represented by private children's studios, which offer more competitive services compared to municipal institutions. Moreover, the very approach to children, their development and education is fundamentally different from the usual approach of the "Soviet" school. In such children's studios, they do not aim to make Tchaikovsky or Maya Plisetskaya out of a child by any means, even against the wishes and capabilities of the child himself. Children's studios take a more loyal and flexible approach, teach playfully, develop creativity without judgment and coercion, caring primarily about the moral and psychological state of children.

Another reason for the popularity of business on children is that the child services industry is quite rich in business ideas that can be implemented with minimal investment and a great desire to work for oneself and develop a business. Naturally, at the initial stage of the children's studio, you will have to devote a lot of time and effort. But at the same time, a children's studio as a business can combine both profit and satisfaction and pleasure from the activity.

The very business idea of \u200b\u200ba children's studio, like most other business ideas related to children, primarily attracts women, especially young and active mothers who, after the birth of children, completely rethink their lives. That is why the majority of the owners of the children's studio are women. It is they who, after the birth of the child, themselves face the needs and problems, for the solution of which they themselves would not mind paying. But not finding a suitable option for certain criteria (comfort, location, service level, direction or pricing policy), they decide to open their own business.

Read on to find out what needs to be done to open your own children's studio, how to start a business for children step by step and start earning and developing.

Investment size

A children's studio is a good option for a novice businessman, including for the reason that investments in its opening are quite small. This is an extremely important parameter for a first business.

With a certain resourcefulness, opening a children's studio, it is quite possible to keep within 200-250 thousand rubles of initial investment. Although, of course, the amount will largely depend on how much the rent of the premises will cost, how much you will spend on repairs and equipment, what consumables you buy, what teachers you will hire.

Calculate all the estimated cost items and, just in case, set aside a slightly larger amount for the start than you need. This will make it possible to relatively painlessly survive the first crisis months, when the pool of clients is just being recruited.

Where can I get the money?

But even a small amount of money for initial investments needs to be taken somewhere. An ideal source of investment is your own savings. By investing your own funds in the business, you will significantly reduce the risks, and there will be much less stress: no debts that need to be repaid with interest, no additional monthly expenses (and they are already large for a young business), no loan obligations hanging over you sword of Damocles.

But not everyone has their own means to start. On the other hand, almost everyone has relatives and friends, whose help you can resort to. Although everything is so there is a risk of ruining the relationship.

But a bank loan is an extreme measure. It is fraught with overpayments, and lately banks are not particularly willing to issue loans. If you are going to invest very small funds in a small business, you can use a credit card that gives you the opportunity not to pay interest if you have time to return the money within three months.

You can also count on government assistance in the form of subsidies. Practice shows that it is quite possible to get material support from the authorities. But for this you have to be patient: from year to year, the procedure for obtaining funds is becoming more and more complicated.

It is especially difficult to get a grant in big cities, and this is due to the bureaucracy. Even if you are enthusiastic, it can completely evaporate in the process of collecting all the necessary documents. And the chances of getting financial support from the state are not one hundred percent.

In small towns, the situation with receiving funds is somewhat easier. But regardless of the size of the city, there are still certain risks. Even if the grant for your project is approved, you may never see the money. There are cases when businessmen are simply deceived.

Step-by-step instruction

After you have identified the demand for your studio and found the money to open, you need to think over the corporate style. This is important for any business, there can be no exceptions here. Even the smallest project should not give the impression of a "sharashkin office", people should understand its significance. To do this, they need to see that the project is thought out "inside and out."

Do you remember the famous phrase "what you call a ship, so it will float"? It is perfectly applicable to the business of a children's studio, therefore, first of all, you need to choose the perfect name and come to grips with the corporate style. And it is not at all necessary that the latter will cost you a fabulous sum.

Personal experience

I started with thinking over the corporate identity. To do this, I had to resort to the help of a designer. I found it among freelancers, wrote those. the task on which he relied during his work. A good designer takes 15-10 thousand rubles for development. There is no need to spare money for this, especially since the amount is not that great. But people will see how attentive you are to details, appreciate your approach to business. A single corporate identity that is used everywhere - on business cards, flyers, etc. - creates more confidence in clients and contributes to the recognition of your studio.

The interior of the studio should also fit into the canons of the corporate style, so it is important to think it over to the smallest detail. Only after you have decided on the image of the future studio, you can start purchasing building materials and renovating the premises.

After the repair, it is time to purchase equipment. What kind of equipment it will be depends on what your studio is doing. In my case, I had to purchase ordinary tables and special tables for rice sand, a camera, a projector, a projection screen.

Equipment prices will vary greatly. For example, a small children's table may cost 1 thousand rubles, or maybe 8 thousand. It's up to you to choose. Just remember that the most important thing is that the tables correspond to the minimum indicators, and the presence of golden legs is the tenth thing. The same, in principle, applies to any other equipment.

The amount of equipment depends on how many children will be studying in your studio at the same time. We have everything designed for a lesson with six kids. This is the optimal number of students, since it is with such a size of the group that the teacher can pay sufficient attention to each child.

As for the choice of equipment suppliers, a lot depends on the city of opening. It is easier to find a supplier that best suits the parameters in a big city.

The larger the city, the greater the choice of equipment.

For a studio in a small town, most likely, you will have to order everything on the website. This can delay the process somewhat or lead to unexpected results.

If we talk about the criteria for selecting suppliers, the main one is the ratio of price and quality. No need to rush to low prices! Decide what quality equipment you need, figure out the indicators and technical characteristics. This will have to be done in order to understand whether you are purchasing good equipment. And only after everything becomes very clear with the characteristics, you can compare prices from different suppliers.

It is advisable to choose monopolist firms that are engaged in the production of one type of equipment. For example, only projectors are produced.

Often, those who supply equipment are ready to provide consumables as well. At least this is the case in the field of sand painting.

Finding suppliers of both equipment and consumables is getting easier every year. In our area, the demand is constantly growing, and therefore more and more companies appear. And you can "reach" them via the Internet.

If you are discovering something completely new, suppliers can be challenging. If finding them is already difficult, you can try to make the equipment yourself. However, there is a quality issue here.

After the consumables and equipment have been purchased, you need to start thinking over the methods of working with children and the working hours of the studio itself.

In our studios, a lesson lasts from 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the age of the children. For longer periods, babies simply find it difficult to concentrate on one activity.

We work with children mainly on weekdays or weekends. In the middle of the week, the schedule is thought out so that it would be convenient for parents to bring the children after the end of their working day or the child's stay in the kindergarten. And on weekends, there are mainly children's parties.

An equally important issue is personnel selection. In fact, choosing a good teacher is by no means easy, if only because some of the criteria may not always be unambiguously winning. For example, extensive experience and extensive track record are not a guarantee of quality. The main thing for a teacher is sparkle in the eyes. If a person has the desire and enthusiasm, if he is interested in implementing his ideas, you will go far with this person.

It is important that the person wants not just to work, but to be a part of your company.

The requirements for the placement of a children's studio are not as strict as, for example, for catering. However, there are certain rules here. First of all, you need to determine where to rent the premises.

Of course, transport and pedestrian traffic is an optional criterion for you. But to climb into the wilderness, to which it takes three hours to go from anywhere in the city, and then also walk 5 kilometers, is a bad decision. A children's studio should be available.

Check if it is convenient for customers to get to you. It is important that the studio is not too far from public transport stops. At the same time, parents should be able to get there by more than one route, preferably from anywhere in the city without a change. Convenient access roads will not be superfluous for those who will bring children in their own cars.

But as for the part of the city where you will work, you are free to choose. Both the center and the sleeping area are suitable. Especially new buildings, where many young families with children live. If deciding on a place is very difficult, try again to resort to a poll. Parents will be happy to vote on the social network for the most convenient option for placing the studio.

Advice

From the point of view of reducing the cost of premises for large cities, a good option is sublease. But you need to choose your “neighbor” wisely. A children's studio on the doorstep of a grocery store will not cause anything but bewilderment. Choose an enterprise in a related industry, for example, a toy store or a private garden.

Shopping centers are very suitable for placing a children's studio, many of which today have special “children's floors”. However, it is important that such a shopping center is not too noisy. The child should be able to work out without being distracted by any extraneous sounds.

Don't forget to provide comfort for your parents too. Many of them may decide that it makes no sense to go somewhere for 1 hour, and will wait for the end of the lesson right here in the studio. Therefore, the studio should have a kind of waiting area with comfortable sofas, magazines and other things that help to comfortably wait for the child. This, of course, will force you to take up additional space and increase the rental price, but it's worth it.

By the way, about the square. It will depend on whether you are planning your training studio to hold events and birthdays. In this case, you will need both an area for classes and an area for recreation and games. Ideally, they should be separated. Minimum studio area - 20-30 sq.m.

As for the requirements for the repair, everything is quite simple here. So far, there are no SanPins regulating children's studios, which means that no one will be fined for the absence of tiles or linoleum instead of carpet.

The most important thing is to comply with fire safety standards. Your landlord should be responsible for this question. Although it is still better to double-check whether there is a fire alarm in the room, whether fire extinguishers are out of order, etc.

Documents

An obligatory stage in opening any business is its legal registration. When opening a children's studio, you have a choice between an individual entrepreneur and an LLC. It will be easier to work if you register as an individual entrepreneur. In this case, you can choose a simplified version of tax reporting and will be able to keep records on your own. But when opening an LLC you cannot do without a professional accountant.

The best option for a children's studio is “simplified” taxation at a rate of 6% of income.

Opening checklist

Is it profitable to open

With good performance indicators, the children's studio pays off quickly enough - in 3-4 months. To achieve this result, you need to look for additional ways to increase profits, for example, by organizing children's parties.

But keep in mind that clients can be different. Parents who are ready to spend 25 thousand rubles on a children's birthday may come to you, while the cost of a holiday in your price list is 10 thousand rubles. In such a case, you need to be able to offer your customers additional services. For example, introduce paper shows, which are now gaining popularity, or add quests for children to the program.

To increase profits and shorten the payback period, you can also conduct offsite workshops and even teambuildings for companies, if your activity allows it.

In addition, you need to be able to reduce the costs of your studio. The main costs are for payroll and rent. In addition, from time to time you have to update some interior items, for example, children's stools, and also spend money on consumables. In terms of savings, you can cut costs primarily by reducing rental costs. For example, you can use the same sublease.

Aspiring entrepreneurs often have a question about what pricing policy to pursue. A children's studio is just the case when the main criterion for forming your price is the prices of competitors. In this case, it is not at all necessary that we are talking about direct competitors. Take a look at other leisure establishments.

At the very beginning of work, you can dump. This will attract customers.

Dumping helps a lot when used correctly, but using it consistently is not an option. The client gets the thought: "The cheaper, the worse." As a result, he begins to doubt the conditions provided in the studio, the competence of the staff, etc. In short, you need to be able to handle dumping, here it is important not to overdo it.

Personal experience

Our studios, open in different cities, have different prices. The average cost of a master class in small cities is 250-300 rubles, in large cities - 600-700 rubles.

Different rates apply for the Long Term Program. A monthly subscription for four classes costs 1,860 rubles.

Organizing the work of a studio is a rather difficult task, since you will have to take into account many nuances, both for regular classes and for additional services. In order for the studio to work in a plus, it is necessary that you have 6 groups of 6 people. But it is important not to forget about additional services. There are three types of services in our studio: educational activities, children's birthdays and family master classes.

We have regular group classes on weekdays evenings. We try to make sure that two groups of each age have time to work out a week. In total, we have two groups in each (one of three) age category. The kids come to us once a week, the studio is off on Monday. The schedule is floating. Much of the reason for this is that young children are often sick.

With regard to classes, it is important here to make every effort to make the client permanent. It is important to make sure that he goes through the program to the end. This is facilitated by a well-structured methodology. We teach a child to draw from scratch. It takes 1 year for babies to achieve certain success.

At the end of the year, we have the opportunity to switch to a more complicated program. According to statistics, 70% of the children who study with us come to the second year of study.

The family master class is designed to unite parents and children. As a rule, classes are held for two, for example, mom and child or dad and child. Children and parents gather in a small group and jointly engage in creativity in such an interesting format.

One of our profiling services is children's birthdays. This format is in great demand, it is very relevant in the market. Here it is important to think over an entertainment program, to make the event interesting, including by attracting animators.

Carrying out children's birthdays is a weekend activity, since parents have the opportunity to bring their children to the holiday only on weekends. Our peaks are on Saturday, on this day we can have three birthdays.

Each of the services provided should be tried to develop as much as possible. How successful the services are can be judged at the end of the month. If some service does not bring the desired effect, all efforts should be devoted to promoting it.
