Recently, I got very carried away production of design elements for a group of ceiling tiles, covering them with a mixture of gouache with PVA glue.

This experience was useful to me when registration music hall for festive events.

In my master class I want to tell you the technology making.

We will need:

- ceiling tiles(not foam);

Simple pencil;

Stationery knife;

Paint brush;

PVA glue;

A jar for mixing paint with glue;

- tile adhesive.

First, I choose a drawing that suits me. (coloring book).

I enlarge the image to the desired size. I use the cell-by-cell method that I have known since childhood.

Then I translate the drawing into tiles, Considering the elements, which will act, creating a kind of layering.

After all elements translated to tiles, I cut them out using a clerical knife.

I mix the desired paint with PVA glue in the ratio 1 :1 (a little water can be added if necessary)... You should get the consistency of liquid sour cream. I color everything the elements.

After complete drying, I collect them together using tile adhesive.

Data the elements served me great registration by September 1... The height turned out to be about 150 cm.

They celebrate the New Year, of course, with the whole world, together, but they bring their Christmas trees. 😉

I propose to admire one of these construction Christmas trees, which was made from improvised means left over after finishing the ceiling. The Christmas tree is low-budget, it won't hit your pocket, so if you are looking for an interesting creative idea to bring to life for the New Year, then take a closer look at this original decor element. This copy was made with gold pens Olga Malinovskaya (Melnik) no glue or nails, almost nothing. Only one ceiling tile was used. To repeat the decorative New Year's idea, you will need a dense ceiling tile, homogeneous in composition at the cut. You can take a structural one, without embossing. As the author notes (presumably, this was not the only instance of a snow-covered beauty), if there is a pattern on the tile, then a one-color tile with imitation of frosty patterns, which are on the glass in frost, will look beautiful.

The tile is cut out according to the principle of a puzzle from one sheet, and the parts are connected to each other "groove to groove" absolutely without glue. By the way, not all ceiling tiles tolerate the effects of the glue on themselves. Styrofoam tiles, for example, melt on contact with certain adhesives (personally tested).

With the correct cut, three parts are obtained from one tile. If convenient, you can use the following template:

True, you will have to sketch from the screen, or make your own patterns, since the author did not make a pattern or does not give it. It is also noted that the photo distorts the real picture. It is also worth considering a small nuance! If the tile is one-color, then you should not worry, but if it is colored, then when cutting the last, third side of the tree, you will need to turn the pattern over with the other side, because 2 sides are the same, and one has outlines in a mirror image. Of course, you only need to draw and cut from the inside out.

Olga made an ornament in the form of gold "" on the Christmas tree from strips of isolon. The stripes on one side are narrower, and on the other, they are wider and narrower as a result. It is necessary to start twisting "cones" from a wider edge into a spiral. The "cones" twisted in this way (or perhaps it is even better to call them "roses") are then attached with an ordinary tailor's needle-pin to a decorative crown made of ceiling tiles. The crown is done in the same way. Ornaments can also be secured with tailor's pins. The author hung her old beads on the stylish beauty, and you must admit that everything looks very pretty!

So the builders have not only their own holiday, but also their own professional Christmas tree. To repeat the decorative idea, in principle, is not difficult, there would be a desire and the right ceiling tile! 😉 I do not advise taking cheap foam tiles, as they are very difficult to cut evenly, they crumble right under the knife.

The MK turned out to be very long and detailed. Why is such a material taken as a ceiling tile? Veins are very good on it and the star looks very impressive! And such a star is made very, very quickly.

One ceiling tile needs a little less than 1.5 m of film and a package of pins. Quantity 50-60 pcs. The cost of such a star is from 1 to 1.6 rubles.

We take a holographic self-adhesive film

We apply a star and mark the ends of the rays with dots.

For clarity, I connected the dots with lines. We cut out the resulting polygon, remove the protective paper and glue our blank.

The next stage is gluing the rays. To do this, we cut the self-adhesive, as in the photo (we follow to reach the very corner)

We begin to fold the film. If the beams are thin enough, the film will be wider than the beam.

We immediately cut off the excess

But this is only on one side of the beam. On the other hand, we do not cut the film, carefully glue it with a bend. On the reverse side of the connection it is not visible, but it will hold on so tightly that hang it out even in frost.

So all the rays were sealed. If you need a double-sided star, then we do exactly the same pasting on the other side, with the same bend.

Here she is, our star is ready. But that's not all....

We draw small stars. It is possible with a different number of rays and different sizes.

So close, on one tile, you can fit up to 60 stars of different sizes.

Now let's embellish our star. Cut out, from a contrasting color, from a holographic film, an asterisk - a smaller size, and glue it. If you do this option, then the veins should be drawn at the very end, when all the layers are glued.

And for fastening, we insert an ordinary tailor's pin into the end of the beam. We just try to stick it in the very middle so that it doesn't come out somewhere on the side and accidentally scratch us.

So you can fasten them together 2-3 pieces. If you want to make a whole garland, then the pins must be glued. And another option is to glue together 2 stars of different sizes. Then you need to glue the stars with self-adhesive on one side. This is the most effective option.
