When a man puts on his “best day attire,” he often feels and behaves very differently than when he wears work or leisure wear. Simply changing his costume can affect the way he walks and talks, as well as the way he thinks. When I was a senior and a young doctor, I had an elegant pinstripe suit that I kept for important, formal occasions. I wore it mainly for exams and when I went to job interviews. Undoubtedly, there are other ways a man can find relief from stress. But most of the alternatives available look noticeably more detrimental to him, his family, and society than dressing up in fancy underwear. A crossdresser can undoubtedly gain a similar level of relaxation by taking tranquilizers (which are addictive), smoking cigarettes (which will bring him lung cancer), or getting drunk to the point of feeling numb. Alcohol changes perceptions and makes stress bearable for many. Clothing can influence perception in a similar way. The difference is that wearing silk and satin will not damage your liver. It is strange that society should recognize alcoholism as the excusable and understandable consequence of overwork, while crossdressing remains such a misunderstood means of relaxation that most transvestites go to great lengths to keep their dressing a secret. A lot of men dress up - like free masons, soldiers, or special officials - and transvestism is just a fun variation on the topic of dressing up, but our society has evolved in such a way that the choice of clothes is very important, determines who we are, what we are, and what others think about us.

The judge wears a robe and a wig. The priest wears a dress. The bishop wears a particularly beautiful dress. Kings wear robes and crowns. Hotel receptionists, car park workers, railroad workers, flight attendants, and thousands of other professions all wear clothes that identify them. Plumbers wear overalls. Doctors wear white coats. Nurses wear uniforms.

As our society becomes more and more complex, the importance of form increases. We sort people according to the type of work, whether they are "white collars" or "blue collars".

Male crossdressers throw a huge wrench at the heart of this impeccably balanced stretch of social machinery. And maybe that's why it's not at all surprising that crossdressing causes such enormous confusion, resentment and confusion, and so many derogatory comments.

Despite the popularity of transvestism, little is known about this "hobby" - other than the fact that many men do it. (Lots of women are also cross-dressing, but crossdressing is socially acceptable among women. Millions of women regularly wear pants and suits.)

Here are a few facts that I discovered from a survey of 1,014 British transvestites: (This, I think, was the largest survey of crossdressers ever conducted.)

• Significantly more than three quarters of transvestites regularly wear some kind of lingerie under their men's clothing. Many of those who remained would have done the same if they had not feared being discovered by their wives.
• Less than half of transvestites leave their homes fully clothed as women, and most of those who do so are honest enough to admit that they will not be able to fool anyone. But for most, it doesn't matter. They want to wear women's garments, not be women.
• Transvestism should be one of the safest hobbies. Yet nearly three-quarters of male transvestites admit that they live in constant fear of being discovered by prejudiced relatives, neighbors, or coworkers. One man who wrote to me to take part in the survey went to the nearest town to send his anonymous letter. Many say they do not understand why women can wear men's clothes, but men cannot wear women's.
• Some wives are contemptuous and rejecting. Others look down on them and refuse to show understanding. From time to time, I read over and over again pitiful letters from transvestites whose wives "let" them change for one hour a week - as this is done in secret.
• Three quarters of all transvestite partners know that their man is wearing women's clothing. But a quarter are unaware of it.
• A good reason for keeping the secret is the fact that most wives and girlfriends who know about the dressing up of a partner disapprove of it. They have a lot to lose by being so selfish, narrow-minded and rejecting.
• Fortunately, a little more than a third of wives and girlfriends actively assist their men in their desire to dress like women, helping them with the choice of clothes and makeup. Many women admit they are sexually aroused when they see their male partner in silky, feminine clothing. For transvestites whose wives recognize them, it is common to have sex in women's clothing.
• The vast majority of transvestites are heterosexual.
• The average transvestite spends 12 hours a week dressed as a woman - but would like to spend 70 hours a week (just over half the waking hours).
• A growing number of men are discovering that wearing stockings and dresses is the fastest way to free themselves from the stressful responsibilities of being a man. I have some suspicions that more men would live longer if transvestism were more widely accepted.

I am sure that transvestism is one of the least harmful hobbies, and no man should be ashamed of it. This, I am convinced, is a perfectly acceptable way for any man who wants to free himself from the everyday stress of male life in our harsh world. It's fun and obviously gives a lot of men a lot of fun. It is difficult to come up with an activity that is less harmful to anyone.

Men who dress in women's clothing express a normal, healthy part of their own femininity, broaden their outlook on the world, and enjoy a temporary respite from the responsibilities and demands of being masculine.

I think it's terrible that some woman can have the audacity to tell her partner, “Well, if you need it so badly, then you can do it. My research has made it abundantly clear that the vast majority of transvestites are heterosexual and happy to be men. (Curiously, crossdressing is so misunderstood and so often abused that some women would no doubt prefer to know that their husband is gay or would like to change their sex.)

But when a guy or a man acts in the same way in relation to a woman's wardrobe, then many have questions, bewilderment, and much more. That they are homosexuals, people with disabilities, transvestites, etc. Although in reality people are just trying new things. They try to express and find themselves, even if their image looks feminine.

I will cite as an example the famous representative of the Tokio Hotel group Bill Kaulitz, who buys women's clothing for himself. At the same time, I would not say that he looks somehow vulgar, strange, femininity is present, but still the guy looks peculiar ... You can say that he is a star, this is part of the stage image. But to put on women's clothes or not is up to the guys. What we see in the first photo can be worn by guys every day. Although many or even most will react with misunderstanding. Although ... as I said, a person expresses himself in this way, and maybe this is where his inspiration and individuality is manifested.

But let's move on to the catwalk looks. On the Internet, I found very interesting photos dedicated to Paris Fashion Week 2011. Where can we see women's clothing items on men?
