The worst man in the world. The thinnest people on the planet. This is shocking (photo)

We live in an era where many women and men try their best to look “reed thin.” The cult of the thin body has become an obsession for some celebrities, leading to anorexia.

But not all the thinnest people in the world deliberately subject their bodies to suffering in order to avoid the hated kilograms. There are also those who are forced to live with a serious illness that makes them look like a concentration camp victim.

We present to you a brief history and photos of the thinnest people on Earth.

5. Ioana Spangenberg - weight 38 kg

The Romanian model claims that her skinny body is a natural gift and not the result of starvation. In most interviews, she disputed rumors that her appearance was caused by dietary restrictions. She even said that she was trying to gain weight by eating high-calorie foods such as kebabs, and also snacking on pizza and chips.

Ioana's waist is only 50.8 cm in volume, thanks to which she received the nickname “hourglass man”. However, she is still far from Cathy Jung, recognized as the “queen of the corset.” This 81-year-old woman's waist measures 38.1 centimeters. She first wore a corset during her wedding in 1959 and has worn it continuously since then. In fact, Katie was wearing a corset 24 hours a day.

The exact reason for Ioana's thinness is unknown, but some health experts attribute it to her fast metabolism.

4. Elizabeth Velazquez - weight 29 kg

Born on March 13, 1989, Elizabeth (Lizzie) Velazquez is currently considered a... But this is not the fault of exhausting diets, but of the extremely rare Wiedemann-Rautenstrauch syndrome. Only three people on the planet suffer from it, and Lizzie is one of them. This condition also causes premature aging - just like progeria. Now the girl looks older than her age.

To live, Lizzie must eat every fifteen minutes. Therefore, she consumes between 5,000 and 8,000 calories per day. Despite this painful condition, Lizzie is a famous motivational speaker and the author of the autobiography “The Story of the Ugliest Woman in the World Who Became the Happiest.”

3. Valeria Levitina - weight 25 kg

Until 2014, Valeria was officially known as the thinnest woman in the world. The resident of Monaco weighed only 25 kilograms, and one can only wonder how she was not blown away by the wind. She suffered from anorexia, and all her desperate efforts to regain the lost weight were futile. Anorexia is a very insidious condition that does not have one single cause. Most experts believe that it is caused by a combination of psychological, environmental and biological factors that lead to a destructive cycle of behavior.

Valeria Levitina is a source of inspiration for young girls who want to learn from the mistakes of others. She traveled to different parts of the world to warn girls about the dangers of extreme dieting. And she hoped to someday recover in order to fulfill her dream of becoming a mother. However, Valeria died in 2013.

2. Natalya Zhultaeva - 21 kg

In 2014, the title of the thinnest woman in the world (of those living) went to a Russian woman, a resident of the village of Forstadt near Verkhneuralsk. After breaking up with her boyfriend, Natalya gradually began to turn from a beautiful, moderately well-fed girl into a walking “skin and bones”. She ate very little and only when her family insisted on it.

As a result, Zhultaeva’s weight reached a life-threatening level of 21 kg. This is how much a typical six-year-old child weighs.

Her story gained nationwide fame after Natalya and her mother took part in the popular program “Let Them Talk” in December 2014.

Fortunately, thanks to the efforts of doctors and the care of her mother, the girl was able to overcome her condition. In 2015, information appeared that Natalya was on the mend.

1. Kristina Koryagina - 17 kg

26-year-old Christina began having problems with nutrition as a child. And the result is obvious. 17 kilograms is how much the thinnest person in the world weighs. More precisely, it weighed. Psychotherapist Jan Goland undertook to save the girl from the terrible consequences of anorexia nervosa. He worked with his special patient for free.

Thanks to his efforts, Christina was able to believe in herself, started eating right, and gained one kilogram. For people with an eating disorder, this result is already a huge leap forward. Now Koryagina has big plans for the future; she intends to enroll in graduate school and defend her Ph.D. dissertation. However, so far she is the thinnest woman not only in Russia, but also in the world.

The thinnest men in the world

5. Tom Staniford - weight 65 kg

The British man, born on July 1, 1989, is one of eight people in the world who suffer from MDP syndrome. He has no subcutaneous fat and cannot gain weight. The cause of this rare condition is still a mystery to doctors.

However, this syndrome failed to ruin Tom's life. He leads a completely normal life - both professional and personal. In 2011, he even became the world champion in cycling among Paralympians.

4. Christian Bale - 55 kg

“Is this really the worst person in the world?” - the reader may exclaim indignantly, looking at the photo of the Hollywood handsome man bursting with health. And look at him in the film “The Machinist”. For the sake of the role of a man who does not sleep for a whole year, one of them lost 30 kg. And with a height of 186 cm, he began to weigh 55 kilograms, resembling a walking skeleton. Would you be able to make such sacrifices for the sake of art?

3. Jeremy Gillitzer - weight 30 kg

Jeremy was once a modeling star with amazing curves and great biceps. But he was unhappy with his weight and decided to lose weight. Usually people are happy when they get rid of a couple of extra pounds. That wasn't enough for Jeremy. He took laxatives to become even thinner, although he still resembled a mummy. Gillitzer battled anorexia and bulimia for nearly 25 years.

As a result, his body was so devastated that the man could barely stand. Jeremy Gillitzer, who won the dubious title of "the thinnest guy in the world" (as far as normal-sized people are concerned), died in June 2010 from complications related to an eating disorder.

2. Gul Mohammed - weight 17 kg

In 1957, an ordinary baby was born in the Indian city of Delhi. It is unlikely that his parents knew such a term as “pituitary dwarfism” (dwarfism), and this is exactly what the condition that Gul Mohammed suffered from sounds like. It is rarely diagnosed before the age of three.

Gul's peers grew up, but the boy himself grew very slowly. By adulthood, his height was only 57 centimeters, which allowed him to get into the Guinness Book of Records as. At the age of 40, Mohammed died due to persistent respiratory viral diseases.

1. Chandra Bahadur Dangi - weight 12 kg

In 2015, the shortest man in history died, whose height was 54.6 centimeters and weight 12 kilograms. During his lifetime, Nepalese citizen Chandra Bahadur Dangi suffered from congenital Lilliput, but led a normal life and made a living by selling jute hats.

Thanks to his title, the man was able to fulfill his dream of visiting other countries, and at the same time popularized his native village throughout the world.

It is curious that just as ordinary parents can give birth to dwarf children, dwarfs can also give birth to children of normal height. It all depends on the cause of dwarfism.

The worst man in the world in the history of mankind

According to the Guinness Book of Records, the person with the least weight in the entire existence of mankind is Lucia Zarate. This American woman, originally from Mexico, was born in the 19th century, and at the age of 17 she weighed only 2.1 kg. For comparison: he weighed 635 kg.

At the age of 12, Lucia moved with her family to the United States, where she performed as a living curiosity in fairground booths and circuses. Despite congenital dwarfism, Lucia was a mentally developed girl who spoke English and Spanish.

Her finest hour came in Philadelphia, at the Centennial Exposition (celebrating America's 100th anniversary). From that moment on, the girl began to enjoy enormous popularity, because in size she was slightly larger than a doll.

After some time, Lucia went to Europe with her family. On February 26, 1881, she performed in Great Britain before Queen Victoria. She continued to travel throughout Europe and the United States, mainly along the East Coast, until 1890.

On January 15, 1890, during the “Great Snow Blockade,” Lucia was on a train bound for San Francisco that became stranded in the snow-capped Sierra Nevada Mountains.

It must be said that the tiny artist had a special diet, but the food ran out and she had to eat canned food that was on the train. Either due to hypothermia (at night in the mountains the temperature dropped to minus 20 degrees), or due to canned food poisoning, Lucia fell ill. And she died on January 15, 1890, at the age of 26.

The news of recent days has amazed the community - the fattest woman, an Egyptian, weighing 500 kilograms, asked for help and was taken by special transport to India to have her stomach sutured. The police were satisfied with this version, but the negligent sister, who did not keep an eye on the child, was imprisoned for 15 years.
Today the woman has lost 400 kilograms. Sports, willpower and 11 operations helped her with this.

Joseline da Silva - 406 kilograms, died in 1996

Ioana Spangenberg - 38 kg
It has long been dubbed the “living hourglass” by the European media. And all thanks to the non-standard body proportions, the girl’s waist is 50 cm, and her weight is 38 kg. No one knows for sure what led her to such parameters, and the girl tirelessly repeats that she suffers from anorexia.

Polina Potter - 318 kilograms
Polina Potter, a resident of one of the American cities of Sacramento. According to Polina, her husband forced her to gain weight; he believed that she was a “goddess of sex,” and she herself strived every day to gain a lot of weight. Every day she consumed incredibly large portions, which consisted of turkey and fried potatoes. At the moment, Polina Potter is 47 years old and she is trying to lose weight.

Suzanne Yeman - 225 kilograms The girl eats specifically to become the fattest woman in the world
Susanne Eman's main goal is to become the fattest woman on the planet. Suzanne Yeman doesn’t have any problems with her appearance; moreover, she herself says that she just wants to adjust her body to the size of her extraordinary personality. Today she weighs 225 kilograms

10 people suffering from excessive thinness.

This girl was born in March 1989 in Austin, Texas. Her family affectionately calls her “Lizzie.” Since childhood, Lizzie has suffered from a rare disease – Rautenstrauch-Wiedemann syndrome.

Its main symptoms are the inability of the human body to accumulate fat deposits. In addition, Elizabeth also has a weakened immune system, completely blind in one eye and barely able to see in the other.

The girl, with a height of 1.54 meters, weighs only 26 kilograms - this is the thinnest girl these days. To maintain life in her body, she eats 5500 kilocalories daily and eats every 20 minutes. This fact was registered by the Guinness Book of Records. In 2013, she was called “the ugliest girl in the world.”

Now Lizzie is involved in medical research at the University of Texas, maintains a personal blog, and speaks on forums. She has also written several of her own books on health.

2. Lucia Zarate

This girl was born in Ursulo Galvan (Veracruz state). She is of Mexican descent. The reason for Lucia's thinness lies in her genes: her pituitary gland, which regulates human growth, is malfunctioning, which results in dwarfism.

With a height of 45 centimeters, at 18 years old the girl weighed only 2.2 kilograms. However, then her weight increased to 5.5 kilograms, but her waist circumference was still 17 centimeters. The girl was awarded the title of the thinnest girl in the world in its entire history.

But it cannot be said that Lucia suffered from her thinness. Subsequently, she became a circus performer, and she was recognized far beyond the borders of the United States. But rehearsing the stunts itself was a problem for her. Moreover, the girl was always surrounded by attention: she was either mistaken for a doll, or they were surprised at her height

Lucia died in 1890 from an unexpected reason: the train in which her circus troupe was traveling got stuck in the snow-capped mountains. Many died from hypothermia, including the dwarf.

The girl was born in 1982 in France, in Marseille.

The reason for her excessive thinness is anorexia nervosa, provoked by problems in the family. The Frenchwoman's father, Christian Caro, being a businessman, often traveled, and his mother, a teacher, did not like it. Marie Caro was afraid that her daughter would leave when she grew up and doom her to eternal loneliness. Therefore, she forbade Isabelle to walk and go out into the world, and forced her to sit at home all the time. The girl tried to prove herself in playing musical instruments, figure skating and ballet, but in the end she simply began to deny herself food to satisfy her mother’s wishes, slowing down her growth.

At age 14, she was hospitalized with malnutrition. This was the beginning of the end: anorexia developed due to nervousness.

With a height of almost 1.7 meters, she weighed 32 kilograms.

In 2007, Isabelle posed nude in a photo shoot dedicated to the fight against anorexia. A year later, the girl wrote a book - an autobiography, in which she told her story of anorexia. She also warned other girls about the possibility of developing this terrible disease if they lose excessive weight for a modeling career.

Isabelle died in 2010 in Paris, after spending several days in the hospital with ARVI.

In 2011, Marie Caro committed suicide.

4. Valeria Levitina

The girl was born in Russia and is currently 40 years old. In 1989, she emigrated with her parents to the United States and participated in the New York beauty pageant. Valeria won it because she had an attractive appearance. However, the decision to lose weight was made.

A 20-year-old girl lost a couple of kilograms in the shortest possible time. However, she did not stop there: at the age of 25, her weight was 37 kilograms. Valeria became ill with anorexia. Now, with a height of 1.75 meters, she weighs only 24 kilograms - that’s what a small child weighs.

The girl lives in Monaco: there is a warm, favorable climate that helps her restore her health. She still managed to get rid of her eating disorder, but she still can’t gain weight. To maintain good health, Valeria has to take a certain amount of food and also consume a lot of caffeine so as not to lose consciousness from low blood pressure.

The girl’s mother says that she receives hundreds of letters every day from teenage girls who want to be like her daughter. She answers all of them, explaining that “being a living corpse is not good.”

This young man died in 2010 at the age of 39 after a 26-year struggle with excessive thinness. The terrible diagnosis of anorexia was made to him at the age of thirteen. At the age of 15, he discovered the technique of using laxatives in order to lose several kilograms at once.

After that, he was a frequent visitor to private and non-profit clinics.

However, at the age of 21, Jeremy still managed to gain weight, he started going to the gym and built up muscle mass, acquiring a toned body. After this, the guy began working as a fashion model.

For several years everything went well. In addition, Gillitzer admitted that he was homosexual, began to build a relationship with a work colleague, but then broke up with him. At this time, his mother became seriously ill, and the guy himself became involved in traffic accidents several times. Stress took its toll and old habits returned.

The model began to steadily lose weight. All attempts to gain weight were in vain.

At the time of his death, Jeremy weighed only 30 kilograms and was 1.8 meters tall.

The model with Romanian roots is a living hourglass: her waist circumference does not exceed 49 centimeters. The girl denies in every possible way that she suffers from anorexia and that a modeling agency forced her to lose weight. She explains this by saying that “in our homeland, Romania, excess weight indicates the financial well-being of the family. So with such thinness, she is doomed to loneliness.”

But in 2005, Jan, a young man of German origin, noticed her, and they got married. Subsequently, Ioana began working as a fashion model. Designers are delighted with it, because clothes are ideally tailored to an hourglass figure.

Model body measurements: 80-49-80. This is almost a Barbie doll enlarged to real size.

Two twin girls were born in 1981 in the UK.

At the age of twelve, they heard their father make an innocuous remark that “they are growing up, and the first sexual characteristics are already beginning to appear.” These words hurt the young girls, because they did not want to become adults. And an agreement was made that none of them would ever get fat.

From that moment on, they completely denied themselves food: they hid full plates of food, fed it to dogs and always counted the energy value of food.

Soon the parents sounded the alarm: Katie and Marie were exhausted. They were sent separately for treatment to special clinics, but even there they managed to outwit the orderlies, still being malnourished. After that, they began to live separately from their parents.

The two sisters curse in every possible way the day when the agreement was concluded, because it ruined their lives. The once beautiful and sweet girls are now skeletons covered in skin.

Nowadays, they are under forty years old, but their lives are completely broken: they have serious health problems and progressive anorexia. Most likely, they will never have a family and a happy marriage.

Mary and Katie have medical degrees and are aware of the complexity of their situation, but they cannot cope with the disease.

Doctors say that there is still hope for salvation; first, it’s worth normalizing your diet.

The wife of popular football player David Beckham, Victoria (nee Adams) used to be a girl with curves and sang in a popular pop group of the 90s.

But one day a music agency producer told her that “it wouldn’t hurt for her to remove a couple of folds of fat,” and this caused psychological trauma to the girl.

Since then, Victoria began to eat only a few green leaves and a few fruits a day, thinking that this would not harm her health. Ovarian disease brought her to her senses, but for a short amount of time.

Victoria could not cope with her pregnancy due to anorexia, because her exhausted body simply cannot bear a healthy child.

Currently, the girl says that she eats well, but still looks at the energy value of foods. There are also rumors that she is on a drinking diet.

Now her height is 163 centimeters, and her weight ranges from 42 to 45 kilograms.

The American fashion model, the adopted daughter of a star of the 80s and 90s, in every possible way denied her problems with eating behavior. In 2006, she admitted to a foreign magazine that “now she looks far from healthy and doesn’t want teenage girls to look at her and say that they want to look the same.” After this, she was admitted to the hospital with low blood glucose.

In 2007, photographs of the star jogging on the Malibu beach excited the world: with a height of 158 centimeters, she weighed 39 kilograms. Anorexia is obvious.

Her participation in television shows forced her to resort to losing weight, because her partners were thin socialites, while Nicole herself weighed 75 kilograms.

The pursuit of the ideal turned into a tragedy for her: the actress’s weight became critical for her growth.

After some time, she gave birth to a child: this served as an incentive to defeat the terrible disease.

Now Nicole has normalized her weight to 54 kilograms and has coped with anorexia. She states that “it was the birth of her daughter that improved her life.”

The British singer was born in 1983 and died in 2011 in London.

Despite her success in her musical career, the rock and roll performer, who won half a dozen Grammy awards, suffered from a mental disorder. On the personal front, everything was not so smooth: she often quarreled with her manager due to her difficult character.

She used to be a curvy girl, but her addiction to alcohol and psychological difficulties took their toll: Amy began to lose weight.

The star joked that she had a little bit of everything from both anorexia and bulimia. She said that “she feels more like a guy than a girl, but she is not a person of non-traditional sexual orientation.”

The singer died from an alcohol overdose. Her height was 161 centimeters and her weight was 42 kilograms.

Excess weight is a real scourge of our time. Excess weight causes significant harm to our health. However, there is also a reverse trend: people, in pursuit of a beautiful figure, exhaust themselves with diets and exercise to an absolutely terrible state and their low weight becomes a threat to life.

For some people, the desire to lose weight becomes a real obsession (this applies more to the fair half of humanity). This desire can turn into a mental disorder, which doctors call anorexia nervosa or mental anorexia. In this case, the desire to lose weight turns into a pathological fear of excess weight. Most often this disease occurs in young women.

However, excessively low body weight in a person can be associated with various diseases. Usually these are diseases of the endocrine system that lead to metabolic disorders. Today's list includes the worst people in the world!

The worst people:

1. Lucia Zarate

Lucia Zarate is officially recognized as the thinnest person who has ever lived. This woman was born in Mexico in 1863. Her thinness was associated with a serious disease of the pituitary gland (it is this gland that regulates human growth). At seventeen years old, the girl was only 43 centimeters tall and weighed 2.3 kilograms. When Lucia sat motionless for a long time, many people around her mistook her for a doll. It is impossible to say that her life was full of suffering. She was able to take advantage of her uniqueness and make money from it. Lucia got a job in the circus and enjoyed great success with the public. She could earn up to twenty dollars a day - very serious money at that time. True, circus acts were difficult for her and training took a lot of time. Over time, her weight reached 5.9 kilograms, but her waist circumference remained only 16 centimeters. The girl died as a result of an accident: the train she was traveling on got stuck in the mountains, most of the passengers, including her, died from hypothermia. It is unlikely that anyone will be able to break this record because Zarate's weight was the result of her unique height, which in turn was the result of a serious medical condition.

2. Valeria Levitina

Valeria Levitina, a native of Moscow, was included in the list of the thinnest people in the world.
In 1989, Valeria and her parents moved from Moscow to the USA. The young girl had a very beautiful appearance and easily won the beauty contest in 1994, becoming the owner of the title “Miss Chicago”. This was the beginning of the end for Valeria...

Lera got into the habit of constantly weighing herself as a child: all the women in her family had weight problems, so the caring mother constantly weighed her little daughter and was afraid that she was too fat. Having won a beauty contest in the USA and decided to become a model, Levitina began desperately to lose weight. In a very short time, the 19-year-old girl lost a lot of weight, but did not stop there - and by the age of 24 she weighed only 38 kilograms.

This is what Valeria looked like before.

3. Lizzie Velasquez

Lizzie Velasquez, a native of the American state of Texas, is officially considered among the thinnest people in the world today. This fact is officially recorded in the Guinness Book of Records. The girl's height is 157 centimeters, and her weight is only 28 kilograms. Lizzie's appearance is simply terrifying.

The most interesting and saddest thing in this story is that the reason for such thinness is completely incomprehensible. To simply survive, Lizzie has to eat every 15 minutes and consume from 5 to 8 thousand calories a day. However, she cannot gain weight even by one kilogram. Most likely, in this case we are dealing with a metabolic disorder, but doctors cannot say what it is connected with.

It is worth giving her credit: despite the terrible disease, which led to her becoming one of the thinnest people in the world, she did not give up and began educational activities. Over the past few years, Velazquez has written several books and organized over 200 performances.

4. Isabel Caro

One of the thinnest women who worked in the modeling business was Isabelle Caro. She suffered from anorexia since she was 13 years old. Her mother suffered from obvious mental disorders and did not let her daughter leave the house. A little later, Isabelle herself began to limit herself in food in order to please her mother. At 28 years old, she weighed 28 kilograms and was 163 centimeters tall. Isabelle clearly understood that she was sick and tried to get rid of her condition. However, this did not work out for her and she died in 2010. And after a short time, her mother committed suicide. This is such a sad story.

5. Joanna Spangenberg

European media dubbed Ioana Spangenberg a “living hourglass”: her waist circumference is only 50 centimeters, and her weight is just over 38 kilograms. Nobody knows what caused the extreme thinness: Ioana herself tirelessly denies in all interviews that she suffers from anorexia.

As a child, Ioana was a completely ordinary child, and she began to lose weight already in adolescence. Despite all his efforts, Spangerberg can’t gain weight - although, according to his own statement, he eats pizza, chocolate bars and other sources of “quick kilos” every day.

Despite the fact that the girl is on the list of the thinnest people in the world, in 2006 Spangerberg got married and began working as a fashion model - designers, apparently, are completely delighted with the “living mannequin”.

6. Jeremy Gillitzer

Typically, men are not too concerned with their appearance and extra pounds cannot ruin their mood. But there are also exceptions. Jeremy Gillitzer worked in the modeling business and decided to get rid of those extra pounds.

A few years ago he died at the age of 38. Before that, he had struggled unsuccessfully with anorexia for twenty years. Before his death, he weighed only 30 kilograms. The guy suffered from anorexia from early childhood - at the age of eleven he was given this terrible diagnosis. To reduce weight, he took laxatives. Then for many years Jeremy tried to return to normal weight, but he was never able to overcome the disease.

7. Maria and Katie Campbell

Another of the thinnest people in the world are twin sisters Maria and Katie Campbell. They made a vow at an early age not to become fat, and unfortunately, they kept it. They tried to treat them, but it did not bring any results. As a result, the competition ended in death for both.

It should be remembered that excessively low weight is a serious danger to human health and life. Be careful!

Our planet is full of surprises. Usually people are born without pathologies, but it happens that babies are born whose fate is predetermined - they have to live with a disease that cannot be gotten rid of. We will talk about one of them today.

So, the woman Lucia Zarate, born in Mexico on January 2, 1863, is officially recognized as the thinnest person in the world. From birth she suffered from Lilliputia (scientifically called pituitary dwarfism). Shortly before she came of age, Lucia's height was some 43 centimeters. However, even at that time this figure was far from a record. But its weight turned out to be truly unique - only 2300 grams! They say that the girl was often mistaken for a doll when she sat or stood motionless.

But the world, as they say, is not without “good” people - someone realized that you can make decent money from a girl, and at the age of 12 she was first brought to the United States, where she became very famous. Then she received job offers and eventually the girl got a job in the circus. There she had to train very long and hard to perform acrobatic stunts. They say that her torment was completely justified - she earned $20 a day, which even by today’s standards is not the worst money, and even more so by those times...

Alas, Lucia was not destined to die a natural death. Despite her lack of weight, the girl lived comfortably, allowing herself to buy all sorts of trinkets and more. One day she went by train from one city to another. Somewhere in the mountains he stopped and could no longer go any further. As a result, most of the passengers died from hypothermia, Zarate was among them.

Hopkin Hopkins

Hopkin Hopkins, who lived in Wales, England in the 18th century, is considered the thinnest man on earth. At the age of 17, he weighed about 6 kilograms, which was caused by the disease chondrodystrophy (inferiority of cartilage tissue).

Claudius Ambrosima Sehuarta

Among other champions of the lack of kilograms, it is necessary to note Claudius Ambrosim Sewart, born in France in 1797. This young man weighed only 16 kg, while his height was quite a respectable 160 centimeters! It’s hard for us to even imagine how this is possible, because the bones alone should weigh much more.

Why did Claudius weigh so little? Poverty probably had an impact, as did the young man’s unusual metabolism. The fact is that he was born quite normal, that is, exactly the same as his parents were. Moreover, as a child he was quite stocky. Despite this, at a certain point in time the growth of the mass slowed down and then stopped altogether, while it continued to grow until it reached 160 cm.

Throughout his life, Claudius ate very little - a handful of bread and one glass of wine were enough for him per day! He simply couldn’t get into it anymore - apparently, this is in some way connected with anorexia.

Historians claim that Sehuarta was so thin that the distance from his spine to his chest was only 7 centimeters. So if you looked closely, you could see the poor guy's heartbeat. There is no information about how he died.

Lizzie Velasquez

Currently, the thinnest person according to the Guinness Book of Records is Lizzie Velazquez, a 21-year-old student from Texas. The fragile girl weighs only some 28 kg, while her height reaches 157 centimeters! To be honest, it’s hard to even imagine such a picture...

Even experts cannot answer what is the reason for such thinness. Why? Everything is quite complicated. The fact is that Velasquez consumes a huge amount of all kinds of food, and does this at least three times an hour! The most interesting thing is that her diet is very high in calories, that is, she happily eats fast food, various fried meats, pizza, and so on. Alas, all this does not allow Lisia to gain a single extra kilogram. Apparently, this is due to a metabolic disorder, which in this case cannot be cured. However, as the record holder herself assures, sometimes she manages to gain several hundred grams of weight, which she is incredibly happy about. Alas, this does not affect her appearance in any way.

It should be noted that Lizzie was already born with problems. So, she was born prematurely, and at that time her weight was only one kilogram. However, the doctors were able to do the incredible and the girl survived. However, with gaining weight, all the same difficulties were observed as now... Well, at least in some ways she was lucky - she grew up just like other children.

Lizzie has brothers and sisters, but no delays were identified in them. As for the health of the girl herself, she has no special problems, except that there are “problems” with one eye... But as for her appearance, there are certain difficulties. We will not describe them, because you can see them yourself in the photographs. But Velasquez does not have a complex about his weight. She has many friends with whom she likes to relax. The institute also treats her wonderfully.

Isabel Caro

For those who are interested in diets, we also want to tell you about the model Isabelle Caro. The girl was born on September 12, 1982 in the French city of Marseille. Unfortunately, Isabelle became famous throughout the world for suffering from anorexia and was recognized as one of the thinnest girls in the world. As Caro later said, her problems began in childhood. The fact is that her father constantly went on business trips and visited his hometown very rarely, and her mother stayed at home and did not work. Against this background, she began to feel depressed. Moreover, she began to fear that her only daughter would leave her as soon as she grew up. Therefore, the mother decided to isolate her daughter from contact with the entire outside world, that is, she did not even allow her to go outside - she believed that air promotes growth. Meanwhile, Isabelle herself loved her mother so much that she began to limit herself in food, so as not to grow up and upset the mentally ill woman. This is how the girl “earned” anorexia.

By the way, shortly before her death, she wrote a book called “The Little Girl Who Didn’t Want to Get Fat,” where she talked about all the suffering she had to endure in her life.

In 2007, Italian photographer Oliviero Toscani conducted a photo shoot called “No Anorexia”, where Isabelle starred, and she was completely naked. Her body weight at that time was only 28 kilograms. The goal of the unusual company is to draw attention to anorexia, a disease that affects a huge number of people around the world.

On November 17, 2010, Caro died in hospital. The cause of her death is unknown. A few months later, her mother committed suicide.
