Progress.
We think over the “dimensions” of the future bear and make a wire frame. We form an axis (the spine of the bear) from double wire, attach 4 legs to it, leaving about 5 cm to attach the head. The upper legs are attached 5 cm below the top of the axis.

Let's make the head. We crumple the newspaper and form it into a ball. Separately, we make a small ball-nose and attach the nose part to the head. We form ears from newspaper in the shape of a hemisphere. We insert a piece of wire into the ears and attach them to the head.

In the same way, we form the volume of the body by wrapping newspaper with white thread to the axis. Wherein bottom part make it wider so that the bear can sit. We attach the head to the body - we place it on the top of the wire, having previously coated it with silicone glue.

We take a small piece of hay and begin to wrap it around the body with a thread, smoothly moving into the paws. We design the head in the same way. We wrap the hay until the newspaper disappears. Using a glue gun, glue on the eyes and nose from natural materials.

By the way.
You can weave shoots of mint, lemon balm, oregano, thyme, and lavender into the hay - these aromatic herbs will make hay figurines natural air fresheners.

You can use a hemispherical chestnut as a nose, make eyes from acorn caps, and use small black beans as pupils.

Adviсe.
In order for the hay to have a rich green color, the grass after harvesting must be dried in a shaded room, under no circumstances in the sun.

For hay, it is better to use grass harvested before it starts to sprout; the ideal time for this is the beginning of summer.

If you live in a city, you can buy dry grass at a pet store. Well, summer residents and rural residents will not have problems with the material.

If you want to use the bear in street design, then when you form the shape from the newspaper, wrap it additionally cling film, and on top - hay. Then your bear is not afraid of any weather.

In addition, mothers and fathers can make such toys themselves and introduce their children to game form with wild and domestic animals. Also, older children, following step by step and relying on photographic material, can make a bear cub with their own hands and give it to their younger friends.

For manufacturing you will need the following material:

- white cardboard(1 sheet);
- PVA glue or pencil;
- scissors;
- a coil of wire with a diameter of 0.45 mm;
- a simple pencil;

- spool of thread;
- a black thin marker for drawing the eyes and nose of the teddy bear (can be replaced with black paper);
- template of a toy - a bear cub: the base of the toy, the back and front legs (elements of movement), 12 washers.

Description of work
Step No. 1. Using a pre-prepared teddy bear template, you need to cut out “clothes” from colored paper to make the toy bright.
To do this, mark out the decoration elements for the teddy bear on colored paper. From orange paper - a teddy bear's nose, a blouse (upper body), from blue paper - a tie and panties (lower body).

Step No. 2. Now we cut out all the parts with scissors.

Step No. 3. Using a glue stick, glue the orange parts onto the teddy bear (nose, blouse).

Step No. 5. Take an awl and a stand to make holes in the parts - the legs of the toy and on the main part of the teddy bear.

Step No. 6. Take a spool of thread and cut 4 parts from it, each up to 20 cm, then fold it in half (for strength). We pass it through the upper holes into the bear's paws and tie it with a knot.

Step No. 7. To fasten the parts we will need wire, scissors and an awl.

Step No. 8. You need to cut a piece of wire about 10 cm. Then thread it like this: washer, main part (body), washer, foot, washer. We twist the ends of the wire with a spring using an awl.

Step No. 9. We managed to attach the upper and lower legs to the body in this way.

It’s interesting that Koshka’s customers are already, one might say, permanent, and when ordering the figure they set a specific task: size, pose, color.

This garden wire figure in the shape of a playful kitten has a very modern look. It’s a pity that I was able to photograph him only against the backdrop of the box doors.

[April 26, 2012]

This snowman has already been in two epics. The first of them is a luminous figure, the second is a wire garden figure. I hope that the owner of this garden figure will soon become the owner of a topiary figure.

[February 20, 2013]

I photographed this sculpture only during the sale to a client. In my opinion, the photographs turned out very well. I'm posting all the pictures here. The size of the cat, compared to my other wire figures, is very modest, so it is best to use this sculpture in the interior of a room.
