Country of masters weaving bags from newspapers. Weaving from newspapers: bags. Why is weaving from newspapers good

A little over a year has passed since I fell ill with paper vine weaving. There were things that were very useful in the household, and there is always something to give to friends. Then the thought came to me, and not whether to swing my hand at a summer bag, as from the collection spring-summer 2012 from Dolce & Gabbana.

The prices in the stores are just space. And then from the means at hand, a thing turned out!

It took 2 pm to deliver the bag.

From the edge of the newspapers I wound the tubes. I tried very hard to make them thin, so I wound 1 mm on the knitting needle. I painted a primer + water + a little red-brown color with a solution.

On a special machine made of an arched profile, I laid out 12 racks. In the outer racks, there is wire inside. Weaved with damp tubes, they are not dry, like plasticine. I wove 52 cm with calico weaving.I finished weaving with a string of three tubes nearby. The same row is at the base.

For the side walls, I first drew a layout. On it I made a frame of tubes with wire inside. Then the same "chintz" from the bottom up.

I covered the details with aqualak. After the varnish had dried, I simply sewed all the parts with strong threads. 2 more layers for durability over the finished bag.

There were belts in the bins, which I simply attached with hot glue. And if I get tired of it, I'll redo it: maybe I'll attach brighter handles.

In plans to "cook" a beach bag, I will definitely share the result.

All good!

Weaving from newspaper tubes is a creative process in which a craftsman creates amazing products from newspapers, almost indistinguishable in appearance from ordinary rattan braids. It can be beautiful boxes, vases, boxes, pots, various stands and many more interesting and unexpected things.

Why is weaving from newspapers good?

1) almost zero cost of material for weaving from newspapers at the initial training stage;
2) the possibility of weaving a wide range of products from newspapers. These are such handicrafts made of newspaper tubes as "solid" laundry baskets, chests, shelves and even tables made of newspaper tubes are thicker, and on the other hand - light graceful flowers, panels, bread boxes, vases made of thin newspaper tubes. And what a variety of women's bags can be woven from newspaper tubes: from a picnic bag to an elegant clutch bag. The master himself can easily vary the thickness of the source material;
3) the possibility of using materials of various cost for paper crafts, including very affordable ones, for decorating products from newspaper tubes. This refers to the low cost of food dyes that stain newspaper tubes, PVA glue, and stains. If desired and possible, you can use more expensive materials, but it is quite possible to do with low costs, while creating stylish and original crafts, woven from newspaper tubes. And besides, in addition, it is often enough to simply weave crafts from newspaper tubes and cover with PVA glue diluted with water. In this case, there is no imitation of weaving from a vine, but by originality such paper crafts in a certain interior clearly win;
4) somewhere in the depths of my soul I am glad to be involved in a noble ecological movement. After all, each weaver of newspaper tubes utilizes in his "production" a considerable amount of waste material, while creating something original, pleasing both the author of the product and the "gifted" people.

I recently wrote about how and what kind of handbags can be made from. Here's another idea for those who can't or don't like to sew, but love original bags. Albina Latypova was inspired by Dolce & Gabbana's spring-summer 2012 collection and wovea similar handbag made of newspaper tubes.

The safari-style handbag turned out as it was intended. The idea is completely mine: there was an image in front of my eyes, every detail was planned. Made it in 2 incomplete days. Strength and practicality were important to me. The leather is artificial, but it is comfortable to work with. The bottom was made of thick cardboard, glued on the pre-painted tubes, covered with a second cardboard with an image on top, so that the bottom from the inside was also interesting.Weaved with a string, alternately changing tubes of different colors.
This is an interesting effect with color transitions.
The middle was woven with a zigzag pattern based on chintz weaving from white tubes,
the tubular bases were also painted in advance.
Details - I took the fasteners from an old bag. The strap is adjustable. I sewed it on a typewriter with orange threads so that there was a contrast. The strap on the bag itself was secured with an additional piece of leather, on which I made cuts, and a fringe turned out. It was possible to bring the fringe out, but this option seemed lurid to me. So I hid it inside the bag and just tied these strips together.
They do not interfere, and you can always change the design, change the handles.
I wanted to make the effect of staleness during painting. First, I applied white paint with a sponge, and then rubbed the painted surface with a dry sponge until the paint was dry. After complete drying, I glued the skin to the bottom, glued the edging along the joints. All the edges of the leather parts were treated with a lighter flame. The bottom of the bag is painted with a glossy colorless varnish from the inside. After completing all the work, the body of the product was painted
colorless acrylic paint for saunas.
