Series of master classes “Flowers from cotton pads”

Chukmareva Maria Nikolaevna, teacher, MBDOU Pychassky kindergarten No. 2, village. Pychas, Udmurtia

Purpose: I bring to your attention a series of master classes that are united under one general theme, “Flowers from cotton pads,” since cotton pads and cotton swabs are used to make all the proposed flowers.
Crafts can be used as a gift for the holiday of March 8, decoration of a kindergarten group, crafts for an exhibition.
The master class is intended for children of senior preschool age (6-7 years), primary school age, preschool teachers, additional education teachers and parents.

Name of the master class:"An indoor flower is a woman's happiness."

Target: embodiment in artistic form of the idea of the characteristic features of the external structure of an indoor flower “female happiness”, in technology - “plasticineography”.

Tasks:
- improve the technique of working with plasticine, evenly distribute the plasticine on the surface, consolidate the “smearing” technique;
develop creative imagination, aesthetic perception, fine motor skills of the fingers;
- cultivate a caring attitude towards nature, curiosity, and the ability to cooperate with each other.

Material:
- a set of plasticine, stack;
- cotton buds;
- cotton pads;
- black cardboard;
- beans;
- PVA glue.
1. I suggest making such a bouquet in a pot with your own hands.

It is believed that a “female happiness” flower received as a gift will bring grace in the personal sphere and long-awaited female happiness.
This beautiful tropical plant is also called "White Sail" due to its unusual sail-like flowers. The name "Spathiphyllum" comes from two Greek words: "spatha" - bedspread, "phyllum" - leaf. The shape of the plant's spathe resembles an ordinary leaf, white, devoid of a petiole.
2. For this we will need the following materials.

3. Take cotton pads, bend them halfway, draw flower buds. Then use scissors to cut it out.

4.

5. Remove the cotton wool from one end of the cotton swabs, and dip the remaining cotton wool in yellow gouache - this will be the core of the flower.

6. This is what the flower bud will look like. To do this, we “wrap” a piece of cotton pad around the stem, connecting the edges with glue. Cover the surface of the cotton swab - the stem with green plasticine.

7. Next, using a stroke, draw an image of foliage in a pot on the cardboard. In order to give the correct shape, you can use a leaf of the plant itself, placing it on cardboard and tracing it along the contour.

8. Let's start working with plasticine. The plasticine should be warmed in your hands to make it more convenient to apply it. It is better to start work from the edge of the leaf, gradually stretching the plasticine towards the middle.

9. Using the stack, we draw the veins characteristic of the plant on the leaves.

10. Use brown plasticine to cover the soil in the pot. Next, we attach the finished flower buds to the green foliage, lengthening the stems using plasticine.

11. Now let’s start decorating the pot for the indoor flower. We smear white plasticine over the entire silhouette of the pot and then attach the beans. This is such a cute little pot!

12.

13. All that remains is to decorate the frame using beans and the gift is ready!

Master class on making crafts “Bouquet of Snowdrops”

Target: making a gift with your own hands using available materials.
Tasks: teach the ability to use a template; develop children's creative abilities; encourage creative activity, combining various materials when making crafts; foster the joy of joint creativity.
Material: cotton pads, cotton swabs; leaves from artificial flowers; a jar of face cream; cotton wool; plasticine set: ribbon; hot melt adhesive.
1. I suggest making such a bouquet of snowdrops!

Mother's day.
Here is a snowdrop in a clearing,
I found it.
I'll take the snowdrop to mom,
Although it didn't bloom.
And me with the flower so tenderly
Mom hugged
that my snowdrop has opened
From her warmth. (Grigore Vieru)

2. To make the craft we will need the following materials.

3. First, draw a flower template on paper or cardboard, and then cut out flowers from cotton pads using the finished template.

4. Cotton swabs will serve as stems for flowers. To do this, remove the cotton from one end of the cotton swabs, and slightly lift the cotton up at the other end. Cover the surface of the cotton swab with green plasticine.

5. In the middle of each flower we make small cuts into which we insert the finished stems.

6.

7. In order for the flower to hold and be voluminous, we sculpt a “peduncle” from green plasticine, which we attach under the flower bud.

8.

9. We decorate the middle of the flower with blue plasticine.

10. We connect the finished flowers with leaves.

11.

12. Let’s start decorating the vase for the snowdrops. As a base for the vase, you can take a jar of face cream. Glue a ribbon around the entire circumference of the jar, and form a bow from the unglued ends. We decorate such a bow with a bead.

13.

14. We attach plasticine to the bottom of the vase, where the flowers will be inserted.

15. We put cotton wool under the flowers in a vase, thereby conveying the feeling that they have just emerged from the snow! A bouquet of spring flowers is ready! Spring mood!

Master class on making postcards “Daisies”

Target: making a postcard with your own hands.

Little sun on my palm -
White chamomile on a green stem.
Yellow hearts with a white rim...

The daisies bloomed - summer has come.
Bouquets are made from white daisies.
In a clay jug, jar or cup
Large daisies crowd merrily. (Alexandrova Z.)

2. To make a postcard we will need the following materials.

3. For work we will need half a cardboard sheet. Draw an oval with a pencil and then cut it out.

4.

5. Cut out the stems and leaves of chamomile from green paper. We bend the cut leaves in half, giving them volume. We glue the finished parts to cardboard.

Cotton wool is a material that is easy and pleasant to work with, since it does not require much time or special expenses. Small children can work with it. In addition, an applique made of cotton wool and cotton pads will interest not only the baby, but also all household members.

lamb and ewe

Prepare cotton wool, cotton pads, sticks, scissors and glue. You can also create using mixed media, adding paper, plasticine, and natural materials. New Year's applications can be:

  • Decorate the Christmas tree
  • Add details to the interior
  • Decorate the holiday table
  • Use as a New Year's gift

It won’t take much time to make the composition. The technology is accessible, so the child can work independently. For children, understandable and familiar images should be selected. It is necessary to bring complex shapes to understandable geometric ones so that the child can recreate them independently. You cannot scold a child for sloppiness or excessive imagination of plots - there are no prohibitions in creativity.

Winter-themed applications

Draw the outline of the animal on colored paper. Create a snowdrift from white paper. Tear the cotton wool into oblong pieces and stick it on the body of the bear with slight bends. The nose and eye should be black. The background can be decorated with snowflakes.

Snowmen are made from lumps. To do this, loosely roll up the cotton wool and stick it on the stencil. This kind of work turns out to be semi-volume.

Decoration or card "Santa Claus".

It is also used to decorate winter compositions. It makes excellent snowdrifts.

You can hang it from the ceiling and decorate the room with a snowflake made of cotton wool. Glue the material onto the stencil, attach the thread and the decoration is ready.

Crafts from cotton pads

This is a craft for the little ones. For the snowman's body you will need 3 of them. Cut others in half and form snowdrifts. Cut out the remaining parts from colored paper.

Help your child learn to work carefully and develop their imagination.

They are also suitable for creating a Christmas tree. To do this, paint the outer part of the material. Roll them up and glue them together as in the photo.

Now place the pieces on the cardboard. Stick them on. Decorate the Christmas tree with beads and balls and the background as desired. Also add a snowman if desired.

Ear stick products

Often the sticks are broken and pasted on the back side. It is better to fix them with superglue. You can get creative and create products with a winter theme.

For your attention - snowflakes. Glue them and your child onto the stencils.

Over time, you can create more complex compositions.

Snowman with cotton swabs. Glue them onto thick cardboard with superglue for reliability.

Mixed media

Often, not one, but several techniques are used in applications. For example, they combine paper and cotton wool and also with plasticine. Try making this Santa Claus in a combined version.

First, cut out a stencil of the product from thick cardboard. Then create a beard from a white A4 sheet. Wrap the ends with a pencil or scissors. Paste onto the stencil. Cut out a hat from red. Glue onto cardboard. Cover the joints with disks, and use them to make a bubo for the cap. Add eyes and nose. Decorate the hat with sparkles or, even better, colored semolina.

It’s easy to create a snowman in a mixed one. You will need cotton wool and pieces of felt of different colors for other details. You can replace felt with plasticine

Winter compositions are often made from these materials. It is especially fun for small children to work with them - they have a pleasant texture and simple shape from which you can make anything.

Video lesson and master class “Snowman applications from cotton wool and cotton pads”

What could be better than a homemade gift? But if you are still small, you can create it together with your parents by making a craft. Crafts are not only offered as a creative variety of free time, but are also an important process in the formation of a child’s imagination and creativity. Sometimes complex crafts are not super processes that require reinventing the wheel to complete, but different textures, colors, etc., that create that very complexity. When doing work with your own hands, you often come across the appliqué technique, which has its fans of all ages. The lack of clear rules and guidelines is the essence of the application. On the eve of winter, let's try to make a winter story.

To create this craft we will need:

  • Stationery glue
  • Gouache
  • Base: colored cardboard
  • Paper napkins
  • Cotton wool discs
  • Pencil
  • Cotton buds
  • Scissors

We make some preparations in advance. We cut the napkins lengthwise into strips 2 cm wide and roll them into small tight balls. They need to be made in different colors.

We cut out the layout of our future Christmas tree from plain white paper. We outline it with a pencil on the base where the complete composition will be located.

Let's start making a snowman. We apply a cotton pad to the base, then cut out the next one with a smaller diameter, and form the third into an even smaller ball than the previous ones. At first, while you are cutting and shaping, do not glue. You cut out the legs from the quarters (they can be made from black oval buttons if desired).

We cut out the bucket headdress from a disk, although you can be creative using, for example, ribbons or rough colored cardboard

All that remains for us to do is make the handles and you can also choose what material to use – disks, or a thick dark thread, giving them either a round shape or as an imitation of twigs.

After the snowman is laid out and all its components are to your liking, glue it on. We take gouache, draw the bucket, nose, eyes and mouth of the character. Don’t forget about such details as buttons on the body, you can draw them or glue rhinestones. We cut out a thin strip from the brown one and glue it in place of the broom, the top of which can be made either from a bunch of threads or the same stripes.

To diversify the picture, we cut out a yellow moon from it, and since we have already drawn the Christmas tree, we form a column from a piece of paper, and next to the wrong side of the divided cotton pad, we glue snowdrifts, and the more carelessly they are, the more realistic your work will turn out.

From the bottom up, we form a Christmas tree, gluing our blanks in the form of balls, alternating with each other, keeping in mind that the colored balls are Christmas tree decorations. All that remains is to make the top of the tree. To do this, cut out (you can take a holographic self-adhesive) star and glue it at the top of the tree. Dip a cotton swab into white and yellow gouache and you will create a scattering of stars and snowfall in the sky.

If your baby is small enough, then you can prepare all the elements that require cutting in advance, and then you will only have the most enjoyable part - decorating together. Frame your finished creation in a frame, which we can also decorate. Cherish creative family moments by preserving these decorations for years to come.

From cotton pads, using additional materials, you can make very beautiful flowers with your own hands: callas, snowdrops, roses, daisies. This composition can be a wonderful gift, for example, on March 8th. You can also decorate a group in a kindergarten with these flowers for some kind of celebration. And it could simply be a craft for an exhibition or competition.

DIY flowers made from cotton pads

These step-by-step master classes are intended for children of senior preschool and primary school age, their parents, as well as kindergarten teachers, primary school teachers and additional education teachers.

Let's first consider how to make a bouquet beautiful snow-white calla lilies.

Callas from cotton pads

This is a beautiful and very unusual tropical flower. People call it a white sail because it really looks like a sail. It is also called women's happiness. It is believed that if you give a lady such flowers, she will certainly experience good luck in her personal life and long-awaited changes for the better.

For that to make a bouquet of callas with our own hands, we will need the following materials and tools:

Step-by-step guide to making a bouquet

  1. We begin the work with the fact that take cotton pads and bend them in half.
  2. Now we draw buds on them, just like these flowers should have (if you don’t know what they look like, you can find a photo on the Internet).
  3. We take scissors and cut out our calla buds from the disks according to the drawing.
  4. Next to us you will need cotton swabs. From these we will make the core of the flowers.
  5. We remove the cotton wool from one end of each stick.
  6. Dip the other end, on which the cotton wool remains, into yellow gouache.

Our preparations for the future bouquet of disks are ready.

Now let's take the blank, made with your own hands from a cotton pad and wrap it around a cotton swab, which acts as a stem. We coat the edges of the disk with glue and connect them to each other.

We wrap a cotton swab in green plasticine.

Our bud is ready.

Now we'll make leaves for flowers.

To do this, we need to arm ourselves with a line and black cardboard.

We draw calla lily leaves on the cardboard with a stroke. Next, use green plasticine to paint them. First, we take the plasticine in our hands and warm it. When it has become softer and more pliable, spread the plasticine inside the outline of the sheet. It is best to start such manipulations from the edge of the leaf, so it will be more convenient to gradually stretch the plasticine towards the middle part.

Using a stack, we make veins on the leaves.

We take a stroke and draw a pot on cardboard under the flowers. We paint the soil with brown plasticine. Now we attach the previously prepared buds to the foliage. If your stems are a little short, you can lengthen them with green plasticine.

All that remains is to decorate the pot. For this we need white plasticine. We smear it over the silhouette of our pot. Now we attach beans as decoration.

Our craft is ready.

Now the final touch remains - to frame the work.

Bouquet of snowdrops

From cotton pads you can make flowers with your own hands, which are the very first to bloom in the spring - this tender and cute snowdrops. The operating principle is similar to what was described in the previous section.

Materials and tools

When starting to work on a craft, you first need to make a template, according to which we will cut buds from cotton pads. To make them neat, you can find drawings or photos of snowdrops, print them, cut them out and trace them.

The flowers are ready. Now we need to make stems. Just as in the case of calla lilies, we make them from cotton swabs, but our actions will be slightly different. At one end the cotton wool should be removed. On the second, lift it up a little. We wrap the stick itself in green plasticine.

We cut each bud in the middle part. You need to insert the stems into these cuts. To make our snowdrop strong, we paste green plasticine over the junction of the bud and the stem. That is, simply put, we make a peduncle.

The core of a snowdrop should be blue. We decorate it with plasticine of the appropriate shade. Now we attach the leaves.

Next, we make a vase for the bouquet with our own hands. A round cream jar is ideal for its role. Decorate the vase with a bow. To do this, glue a small ribbon around its circumference. We leave the ends free and tie them into a neat bow. We attach a bead to it.

We glue plasticine to the bottom of our vase. We will insert our snowdrops into it.

When everything is ready, all that remains is to put cotton wool in the vase under the flowers. So it will give the impression of a snowdrift snow through which our spring flowers make their way. Now you can send our craft to an exhibition or give it as a gift.

DIY daisies made from cotton pads

Another wonderful flower that you can make with your own hands from cotton pads is daisies. such a craft can be given, for example, on the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity, the symbol of which are these field beauties.

Materials and tools

To make a charming card with daisies from cotton pads, we will need:

  • Plasticine.
  • Colored paper.
  • Cotton pads.
  • PVA glue.
  • A simple pencil.
  • Scissors.
  • Colored cardboard.

Making daisies

Take half a sheet of cardboard. Draw an oval on it with a pencil. Then we cut out what we drew.

Now we will make stems and leaves. For this we need green paper. It is better to make the leaves voluminous. To do this, you just need to bend them in half, then straighten them and leave them in a half-bent state.

We take a sheet of cardboard and glue our stems and leaves to it.

If you are afraid that you will not do it neatly or that you will cut off something unnecessary, then use a ballpoint pen to draw lines on the disks along which it will be convenient to cut out the flowers.

As you know, daisies have a yellow center. So that our flowers have something like this too, we sculpt from yellow plasticine balls. We glue them to our buds.

To complete the work, we attach the petals to the stems.

Our craft is ready.

To make daisies look more impressive, decorate them with a frame that can be made from anything - plasticine, beans, origami, in general, whatever your imagination allows.

Roses

A little more difficult work awaits you if you want make your own roses. They have a bud, which requires more work to make. These flowers made from cotton pads with your own hands will look like real ones and will definitely please the lady being gifted.

Materials and tools

For making roses you will need:

  • Scissors.
  • Cotton pads.
  • Green corrugated paper.
  • Gouache.
  • Skewers.
  • Foam sponge.
  • PVA glue.

Making roses

We start the product with, which we glue to several (depending on how many flowers you plan to include in your bouquet) skewered cotton pads. An approximate photo of how to do this can be found on handicraft websites.

Now spread a little glue on the edges of the disks and connect these edges. We'll make a bud similar to calla lilies, but more closed.

Now we take another cotton pad and glue it onto the one attached to the skewer. As a result, we should have 6-7 cotton pads glued on top of each other in a checkerboard pattern.

To make the craft look like real roses, need to make sepals. This work is not difficult. Take corrugated green paper and cut out a shape from it that resembles a fence.

Then we smear it with glue and wrap it around the bottom of our bud.

Next to us need to make a stem for a rose. To do this, take corrugated paper and cut a strip out of it. The strip should be narrow. We coat it with glue and twist it in a spiral onto a skewer. We also secure the tip with glue.

From the same corrugated paper cut out leaves for our flowers. Cut them out and glue them to the stems.

The craft is ready.

Now you know how to make flowers from cotton pads easily and without much expense.
