Joint preparation for the holidays brings us together, creates a special mood, brings pleasure and joy. Therefore, these 12 crafts for the New Year 2019 are just what you need to diversify family leisure time and create the appropriate festive mood.

Paper crafts for New Year 2019

1: Paper Angels

According to the Bible, an angel brought the Virgin Mary the news of the appearance of Christ. The winged messenger is one of the main symbols of Christmas and all winter holidays. There are dozens of ways to make an angel out of paper, and here is one of them.

Materials you will need to create this craft:

  • thick paper with a pattern or relief
  • plain white or brown paper
  • a piece of designer glitter paper
  • openwork napkin for scrapbooking
  • decorative button
  • layout mat
  • pencil, scissors, glue
  • Double-sided tape
  • beautiful thread for hanging

Cut out three types of parts from designer paper. The first two will become the outfit of an angel, the rest - wings. Place tape on the ends of each. Assemble the clippings as shown in the photo. Connect the parts of the wings to create a large bow. Cut out an angel's head from plain paper (a circle with a diameter of 1.5 cm), and a halo from shiny paper (diameter about 2 cm). Glue them together. You can finish drawing the angel’s eyes and rosy cheeks. Attach a loop of thread to the back of your head. Put the pieces together. Decorate the place where the wings and body connect with a decorative button.

2: 3D paper snowflake

Openwork snowflakes are an integral part of New Year's decor. In nature, each has a unique pattern and shape. Accordingly, there are dozens of workshops on making paper snowflakes. Here is one of the most interesting ones. Necessary materials:

  • A4 sheet of paper
  • paper clips (10 pcs.)

Cut six paper strips of the same length and thickness. Place three of them at right angles to the others. The middle one should pass over the first and third horizontal ones, the other two - vice versa. Secure the intersections with paper clips. Connect the edges of the strips so that the snowflake has four rays. Using the same pattern, make another piece and place it at a right angle on top of the first. You will get an eight-rayed snowflake. Carefully secure its ends with glue. Decorate your house with the finished snowflake.

3: Paper Christmas tree hanging

An elegant pendant will diversify the decoration of the Christmas tree. To make your decoration more colorful, choose double-sided paper with a pattern or cut out pieces from different colored materials. Materials:

  • thick designer paper
  • stationery knife and glue
  • thin beautiful ribbon
  • decor (pebbles, buttons)

Draw a template for the part and carefully cut it along the contour. Make a hole in the top through which you can thread thread or ribbon. Make at least ten of these cuts. The more details, the more magnificent the toy looks. Fold each template in half and glue everything along the fold line at three points: top, middle and bottom. Decorate the place where the loop is attached with a ribbon bow, and use decor if desired. Pull the rest of the ribbon through the hole in the top of the toy and hang it on the tree.

4: Garland of paper stars

A “starfall” shining in the dark will create a dreamy mood. A romantic garland will not only decorate the Christmas tree, but also replace a night light in the bedroom. Fabulous dreams guaranteed! Materials:

  • thick paper of two or three colors
  • pencil, ruler, scissors
  • saucer with a diameter of about 15 cm
  • electric garland

Place the saucer upside down on the paper and trace along the outline. In the resulting circle, write two identical triangles intersecting each other, as in the picture. In the garland, each star consists of two halves. Therefore, draw another detail, adding small allowances to the edges.
Cut out stars from paper and fold in different directions to achieve volume. Fold back the seam allowances, apply glue and carefully fasten the halves together. Leave two small holes. Make the required number of stars and string a garland through them. Turn it on and enjoy the show!

5: Paper cones

Such colorful toys will decorate the green beauty and delight the children. For work, choose paper with a pattern to your taste. Both frosty patterns and a modest cage will do. Materials:

  • thick paper with a pattern
  • ruler, scissors, glue
  • twine
  • thin satin ribbon

Cut the paper into strips of the following sizes: two - 1 cm wide by 10 cm long, two - 1.25 cm by 16 cm, one - 1.5 cm by 20 cm. Fold each one like an accordion, and glue the ends together. Connecting the fold lines, assemble the parts as shown in the photo. Glue them in this order: small, medium, large, medium, small. Attach a loop of twine and a bow of satin ribbon to the crown.

7: Pine cone garland

Pine cones are great for making decorative Christmas garlands. The main thing is to prepare more of this natural material in advance by walking through the nearest forest park. If pine trees don’t grow in your area, don’t despair, because for those who love creativity these days, pine cones are harvested almost on an industrial scale, so before the New Year you are sure to find packages with them on store shelves. In addition, you will need the following items:

  • actually, pine cones;
  • a skein of strong twine;
  • several sheets of gold foil;
  • glue;
  • brush;
  • hooks;
  • pliers.

After you have purchased and prepared all the necessary materials and tools, proceed with the following steps:

Step 1. We fasten the loops. On the top of each pine cone, mark the place where the hook will be screwed in. Secure it with pliers and screw it into the pine cone.

Step 2. We decorate the cones. Go over the tips of the scales of the pine cone with a brush with glue, then wrap it in gold foil and rub the area where the glue was applied. A thin layer of gold will cover the buds, giving them a glamorous look and shine. You can do it even simpler - spray the cones with a small layer of gold paint from a spray can or make strokes using gold acrylic. It all depends on what material you have at hand.

Step 3. We string the garland. String the pine cones onto twine. To prevent them from moving to one place, do not forget to tie a small knot of twine on each of the loops, which serves as the basis of the garland. Your decoration is ready!

8: Hedgehogs made from cones

Cute hedgehogs made from pine cones are a simple craft that even the youngest children can do, so feel free to start making New Year's gifts for grandparents or prepare an exhibit for a school fair. In order to make cute animals, you will need:

  • Pine cones;
  • black and beige plasticine;
  • brush;
  • modeling stick or toothpick;
  • old blush.

The process of making an animal consists of the following stages:

Step 1. First, check how well your buds have opened. If the cone is still dense, with unopened scales, place it in a warm place near the radiator for a couple of days so that the animals become prickly.

Step 2. Roll out a piece of beige plasticine and make a cone. Glue it to the top of the pine cone and make a face for the hedgehog. Roll two small balls, flatten them a little and stick on the ears. Make two sausages - a larger pair and a smaller pair to glue the front and back legs to the hedgehog's body. Using a sculpting stick or toothpick, draw the hedgehog’s fingers and a smile on its face. Three balls of black plasticine will become the eyes and nose of the animal.

Step 3. Apply a little blush to the brush and give the hedgehog rosy cheeks, this will make the little animal look even cuter. The craft can be mounted on a piece of cardboard decorated with artificial moss and dried autumn leaves. For additional decoration, you can use red beads that look like wild berries, or decorate the hedgehog with an apple made of green or red plasticine.

9: Pine cone tree

The cones are so similar to small Christmas trees that it won’t be difficult for you to make a whole forest of green beauties for the holiday. By decorating them with beads, rhinestones and artificial snow, you can literally fill your home with New Year's mood in just a few minutes. To make this craft you will need:

  • wine corks;
  • cones;
  • green and white gouache;
  • glue gun;
  • beads;
  • rhinestones;
  • broken chains;
  • buttons or other accessories;
  • satin ribbons;
  • tassels;
  • artificial snow balloon;
  • thin foam sheet;
  • nail polish with large glitter.

Make a spruce forest following these recommendations:

Step 1. Cut wine corks into circles 1.5-2 centimeters thick. Subsequently, they will become the trunks of Christmas trees. You should not make stands made of corks higher than this - the trees may turn out to be unstable.

Step 2. Paint the cones with green gouache. If you have a can of green paint lying around at home, you can speed up the process by simply spraying the paint on the pine cones.

Step 3. Using a glue gun, attach the Christmas trees to the cork trunks.

Step 4. Consider decor options. Some Christmas trees can be made snow-covered by applying a layer of white gouache or artificial snow from a spray can to the tips of the scales. Prepare star-shaped tops for them. To do this, you need to make a cardboard star template, and then cut out the required number of figures from thin foam plastic. Cover the stars with a layer of varnish with glitter particles. After drying, the tops are glued to the top of the Christmas trees. The remaining Christmas trees can be decorated with beads, buttons or rhinestones, gluing them to the scales using a glue gun. For additional decor, use old bracelets, scraps of chains and other unnecessary jewelry. Christmas trees can be placed either individually or placed on a large sheet of cardboard, sprinkled with fine foam chips and artificial snow. You can wrap a little cotton wool around the cork trunks to imitate snowdrifts.

First, we glue the two stars together, but only with the edges, so that later we can place the star on the cone. Then we coat both sides with PVA and dip them in golden (as in our case) or any other glitter.

Step 10 We decorate the Christmas trees at our discretion: with ribbons, beads, or simply plant stars. Our funny Christmas trees are ready. By the way, variations of such trees can be different. You can cover them with fabric instead of paper. And as decorations, use fringe, sequins, buttons, butterflies, dragonflies and everything that comes to hand.

Step 2. Take a container and mix PVA glue with a little water in it.

Step 3. We cut the mesh into not very wide strips, immerse them in a container with glue and glue the strips diagonally in different directions onto the cone.

Step 4. We fasten the ends of the strips with pins and coat all joints again with one layer of glue using a brush.

Step 5. We wait until the mesh dries. We remove the pins. And following the previous example, we make another layer of mesh. Leave until completely dry, remove the pins again and remove the dried mesh from the cone. Separating it from the cellophane film is not difficult.

Step 6. We attach a garland inside our Christmas tree using wires.

Step 7 We turn on our imagination and attach the planned decorations to the Christmas tree. For example, these could be beads glued with a glue gun. Or you can simply dress the Christmas tree with beads.

How to make crafts for the New Year with your own hands

Content:

Before the New Year, we all need to make a small symbol with our own hands that will bring good luck to the whole family. There is work to be done to create a yellow pig, since it is she who will patronize us throughout 2019.

What to make such a talisman from? You can use absolutely any materials if you model crafts with your children. For example, plasticine, which is in every baby’s arsenal, is suitable.

It’s easy to make a pig with your own hands from soft yellow blocks. The pig must be yellow because next year is considered the year of the yellow pig. But we will make it truly New Year's, using several bright accessories.

This will be a red Santa Claus hat with a white trim and a red scarf that will decorate the figurine. The resulting pig can be planted under the Christmas tree, and it will celebrate the New Year 2019 with you.

To sculpt a pig you need to prepare:

  • 1 or 2 bars of yellow plasticine;
  • pink plasticine;
  • white and red plasticine;
  • a drop of blue plasticine;
  • match or toothpick.

How to make a pig from plasticine with your own hands step by step

Prepare children's plasticine for work. Surely, you will find in it a convenient stack for dividing and processing blocks. Usually pigs are depicted as pink, but we will make a yellow one. Therefore, prepare plasticine of exactly this color. If you only have one yellow block, you can mix it with orange or white to create more mass to create a larger pig.

Knead the plasticine in your hands and roll a fairly large ball.

Divide this ball into pieces to create the head and ears, body and legs of the animal. For the head, make a smaller ball and squeeze it on one side. Also prepare small yellow balls for the ears and nose. To highlight all the details and make a patch, roll small beads from pink plasticine.

Turn 2 small yellow balls into flat droplets and stick pink beads on top. This way you will get floppy pig ears. Turn the pink ball into a round cake, stick a pink bead on top and pierce 2 holes with a match head. This way you will get a penny. Glue eyes with blue pupils and pink eyebrows onto the head.

Glue the patch in the center of the head, the bottom lip, and also the 2 ears on top. The pig's head is ready. You can put it aside for now, later we will put a New Year's hat on top.

Use the bulk of the yellow plasticine to sculpt the body - a large, weighty drop. Insert a match or toothpick into the sharp part of the drop.

Fasten the head and torso. Prepare a long red ribbon with white ends and striped with a stack. This will be a scarf for the pig. Also prepare a red cone for the cap. Add a white bead to the upper tip of the cone, and stick a white stripe at the bottom. Turn them into fur pieces.

Place a New Year's hat on your pig's head and a scarf on his neck. Also make arms and legs from the leftover yellow plasticine. Pink hooves are glued to the end of each piece.

Assemble the figurine completely, you can make the pig sit, then you will need to prepare a stand for it, or stand.

Crochet the pink sausage into a tail and glue it to the back to complete the pig's look.

Place your figurine on a pedestal and place it under the Christmas tree.

Beautiful snowflake made of plasticine

Plasticine modeling is always fabulous, and snow patterns can also be modeled from this soft and pliable material. Snowflakes are popular and well-known New Year's crafts. There can never be too many of them if the task is to decorate the interior before the New Year.

This lesson tells you how to make a snowflake from plasticine with your own hands. Even small weightless details are obtained if you use a soft mass. The product will turn out light and elegant, like a real natural object, even from a large amount of plasticine.

To make snowflakes, prepare:

  • blue and white plasticine;
  • half pearl bead;
  • tool and toothpick.

How to make a beautiful snowflake from plasticine

Prepare all suitable materials for creativity. Blue and white are the standard shades that are always used to paint frosty patterns.

Select a piece of the appropriate size to create the base. Warm up and knead in your hands, form a ball. This stage always accompanies the sculpting process.

Now crush the soft mass into a flat round cake, which will become the base of the craft. It is convenient to use a flat board. Press the hard surface on top with your palm, applying it to the plasticine. Pre-moisten the part with water so that it does not stick to the surface of the plasticine. This way, you apply equal pressure to the entire surface of the mass, and the cake will turn out uniform.

Divide the blue circle into 6 segments. These segments will later become the rays of a snowflake. Grab the plasticine on each piece with your fingers and pull it out while it is still soft. Do the work intuitively, your task is to make a figure that is as similar as possible to a six-pointed star.

Sharpen 6 rays in the same way. This is a beautiful winter snowflake, but the work is not finished yet.

Now think about how you would like to decorate your interesting craft. The base is already ready. Make small oval petals from white plasticine and glue them symmetrically to each of the 6 rays.

Duplicate the white parts with blue ones again, but in a smaller size, to give the craft volume.

Press each ray on top with a spatula or toothpick so that a longitudinal moat remains. Make small white eyelashes for each corner. Glue them onto the tabs.

In the center, stick white threads in the form of a thin snowflake onto the free space.

Stick a white cake in the middle and decorate with a half bead.

You can also fill the empty space with small balls by piercing each one with a toothpick.

The plasticine snowflake is ready. This is just an example that you can use as a reference to show your kids an amazing creative winter themed lesson.

Now you don’t need to look for a microscope to examine a snowflake; an amazing specimen lies in front of you on the table.

New Year's decoupage champagne bottle

A bottle of champagne in itself is a good New Year gift. Such a gift is traditional, inexpensive and will never be superfluous, given that the New Year holiday lasts a long time.

What if the bottle has an unusual appearance, if it is also an original work? Such a gift will doubly please the person to whom it is intended.

The simplest thing you can do on such a bottle is decoupage. It is better to do this work on two bottles. Save time and be more productive. While one bottle dries out at each stage, there is an opportunity to move on to another.

For work I took the following materials and equipment:

  • bottle 2 pcs.;
  • cotton pads;
  • degreasing agent (nail polish remover);
  • napkins with New Year's motifs 4 pcs.;
  • white paint for primer;
  • colored acrylic paints;
  • flat synthetic brushes;
  • file;
  • spray bottle with water;
  • thin stick (you can use sushi chopsticks);
  • PVA glue;
  • acrylic varnish;
  • contour for glass gold;
  • gold silk threads.

Before I started decorating the bottles, I removed all the stickers. Then she carefully lifted the foil on the neck of the bottle with a thin stick. I took it off.

Then I trimmed the foil a little.

The surface of the bottle was degreased using manicure liquid.

I primed the surface of the bottle and painted it with white paint. I dried it and then covered the bottom of the bottle and dried it again.

I separated the lower layers of the napkin. I placed the drawing fragment on the file with the picture down. I moistened the fragment with water and smoothed it out.

I applied the file with the fragment to the surface of the bottle and pressed it. Carefully bending the corner of the file, and then the entire file, while not allowing the napkin to rise.

I glued the main fragment and waited for the glue to dry.

I glued the background fragment to the other side of the bottle. Covered with varnish.

In some places I added contour drawing.

The bottle was varnished.

I put foil on the neck. The junction of the foil and the neck of the bottle was decorated with threads.

I did the second bottle in exactly the same way, only I took different napkins. Such elegant bottles are good both for gifts and for the New Year's table.

DIY snowflake and snowman

In this modeling lesson, we invite you to combine two winter images - a snowflake and a snowman. Why not have some fun with your children and experiment by making something with your own hands using safe and affordable materials. Plasticine can rightfully be considered one of these. Perhaps even children from a very early age intuitively feel and understand how to handle it.

We invite everyone interested in winter handicrafts to join this unusual master class. Here we tell you how to make a snowflake with the image of a snowman from plasticine. Usually children in the yard sculpt figures out of snow, but here we make a snowflake and decorate it with a unique face.

To work you need to prepare:

  • plasticine bars in a set;
  • stack;
  • any dense material - cardboard or plastic lid;
  • pencil or pen;
  • scissors;
  • toothpick

How to make an unusual snowflake from plasticine

Cardboard, scissors and a pen (pencil) will be needed to make a dense base for the future craft. Since the snowflake will be made from plasticine, you need to take care of the strength of the entire structure. There is no point in pulling out each thin ray separately and attaching them together, since such a craft will be unreliable and will bend under any pressure. It is best to use cardboard or a plastic lid.

Draw beautiful carved outlines of a frosty ornament on the cardboard. The rays of a snowflake can be of different shapes. Cut out the part along the contour. And also prepare white plasticine to completely cover the surface of the base with a thin layer.

Mash a small piece of white in your hands, place it on cardboard and spread it with your finger over the entire surface of the paper or plastic. Remove all excess by removing the plasticine from the edge of the cardboard. Make small yellow petals to attach 3 to each ray.

Start attaching yellow trefoil-shaped petals to each ray, adjoining the resulting structures with a small red ball and pressing it on top with a toothpick.

Make all the rays elegant. Press each small yellow petal lengthwise, and pierce the red ball with a toothpick.

When the base of the snowflake is ready, start modeling blanks for the snowman, which will become the central element. Make a blue ball, pressing it on top with your palm, make a red carrot nose and a purple scarf with white polka dots.

Glue a blue head ball with a carrot nose into the center of the snowflake. Attach a scarf with a bow to the bottom. And at the top there will be room for a festive hat.

Create a pretty face. In addition to the nose, you also need to make eyes, rosy cheeks and a mouth.

Put a bright hat with a spruce branch on your head, symbolizing the New Year holidays. No other accessories are needed. The entire interior of the craft is filled, there is no more space left.

Now you can admire the fruit of your creativity; this master class cannot be called the easiest. The snowman looks like a good wizard, and the whole snowflake, in general, looks elegant and unusual.

Mini crafts - skates made from pins and felt

Ice skating has become an increasingly popular winter entertainment. Both adults and children can be found at city skating rinks both on weekends and on weekdays. Skates, like alpine skiing, have already become a symbol of winter active recreation.

Well, in a few minutes you can make a souvenir from simple materials depicting these cute boots with blades. You can wear a toy instead of a keychain on your bag or decorate a Christmas tree with miniature skates - the choice is yours.

You will need:

  • sheets or scraps of felt: white, cream, blue or black;
  • pins (two pieces for each pair of skates);
  • glue gun and consumables for it;
  • scissors;
  • floss threads for laces;
  • Lurex thread for the eyelet;
  • Small sequins, rhinestones, and beads may be useful.

You will end up with a pair of skates, the size of which will depend on the size of the pin. I got the following souvenirs: 2 cm along the sole, 2.5 cm in height..

You can cut a stencil out of paper or cardboard, but neither one nor the other material will give you an idea of exactly what width to cut the piece from felt. I advise you to do this: cut out a rectangle from a sheet of felt approximately the width of a pin. It is better if it is longer than necessary.

Use scissors to scratch along the fold line. Bend the workpiece and try on a pin to the fold.

If you like everything, use sharp scissors to shape the felt into a skate boot. Heat the glue gun (about 5 minutes), carefully glue the felt so that the two parts are tightly connected to each other. In the place where the laces will be, you can loosely attach the parts to each other so that the skates look realistic.

Thread three strands of floss in the color of your choice through the needle. Sew the felt crosswise to create the impression that the skates are tied with laces.

Three crosses for each shoe is the best option. Tie the “laces” into a bow.

Make the second skate in the same way, making sure it is almost identical in size to the first.

Secure the skates with lurex thread. That's all! The cute trinket is ready. You can decorate with it not only a Christmas tree or a bag, but also an album, a mirror, a panel on winter themes, etc. Also, mini-skates will do an excellent job as corporate gifts if you want to congratulate colleagues or many friends and acquaintances.

Before the New Year, you must definitely buy and decorate a Christmas tree, so fluffy, so fragrant and so festive. This is a favorite activity for children. For this we use balls, tinsel and serpentine. Children are also attracted to winter creativity. To make a small Christmas tree, you will need a little plasticine and additional bright paste for decoration. An extremely simple model is given in this lesson.

Materials for making New Year's crafts:

  • green plasticine and an additional couple of bright shades;
  • brown plasticine;
  • match.

How to make a souvenir Christmas tree with your own hands

There are so many interesting ways to create miniature Christmas trees with your own hands. But perhaps the easiest of them is modeling from plasticine. Yes, yes, exactly the easiest one. And if you are smart, you won’t even need to make each branch separately and show off the sharp needles. Plasticine is sold in any store, it costs a penny, as soon as children see the bars, they immediately pick them up, begin to knead them and intuitively make something.

Think with your children about what shape the Christmas tree can be, of course, cone-shaped. And such a green figurine could easily pass for a souvenir tree. And so that no one doubts that this is a New Year’s craft, the crown can be supplemented with balls and serpentine. Lightweight parts can do everything.

Initially, create the trunk itself (aka crown) - a green oblong cone. Knead the plasticine of the desired color in your hands and form a ball.

Press it down with your palm, apply pressure and begin to swing the workpiece with oscillatory movements. You need to ensure that the ball stretches out, but becomes not just a cylinder, but a cone. Also make a small brown stump.

Insert a piece of a match into the top of the hemp for further secure fastening of the parts. Immediately smooth the surface with your fingers, without waiting for it to harden and become hard.

Fasten the green and brown components to each other.

The cone tree itself is ready. Move on to the decor. Christmas tree decorations can be ordinary plasticine peas of bright color. And also pull out thin threads, which will later become serpentine.

Make a Christmas tree top right away - the famous red star. When decorating a live or artificial spruce at home, be sure to use such a bright top. The star can glow from electricity or simply sparkle and shimmer.

Randomly stick thin threads of serpentine onto the green cone, filling the space evenly. On a green background, yellow or orange is immediately noticeable, the colors are contrasting and expressive.

Glue balls onto the empty spaces, with a star at the top. The New Year's plasticine beauty is ready. She is slim and dressed up.

Children will dance in circles at a matinee around a real Christmas tree, and toys can have fun around such a small replica. If you like this idea, then you can make a whole forest of brightly decorated Christmas trees, involving all family members, using not only green, but also other colors of plasticine.

Snowflakes only at first glance seem identical, written as a carbon copy. We look out the window or go outside, white islands flash in front of us, fall to the ground, turn into snowdrifts or immediately melt. However, each of these ice grains is unique and very beautiful. Therefore, the image of snowflakes is very often used on the eve of the New Year holidays to decorate Christmas tree decorations, to model carnival costumes and also to perform unusual children's crafts.

Modeling a beautiful snowflake is what we will do in this lesson. And it will not be simple, not gold, but plasticine. It also doesn’t have to be pure white, because we are talking about a children’s craft. The flow of New Year's imagination will not dry out if you experiment with colors, patterns and additional decorative elements.

What to prepare for repeating snowflakes:

  • brown and white plasticine;
  • a button or shiny stone;
  • stack-spatula;
  • toothpick

How to make an unusual snowflake with your own hands

To avoid repetition and make something unique, use brown plasticine as a base. And white plasticine will complement it and look beautiful against the given background. If you can find a beautiful chocolate color, the finished product will look like delicious candy or gingerbread. In general, even brown, a seemingly completely unsuitable color for a snowflake, will look very beautiful.

Knead the brown plasticine and first form a ball.

Place the ball on a hard surface. Press down around the circumference with your fingers, evenly distributing the pressure. You should get a round cake, but not very thin. A snowflake will be cut out of it later.

It is advisable to wet the surface of the board before working so that the mass does not stick to it. Even on plasticine boxes they give advice that it is better to work with the material with wet hands.

After the cuts, petal segments will remain on the cake. Press each of them with your fingers and smooth them out so that you get triangular rays.

Try to smooth the brown surface with your fingers until it is perfect. Pull the white pieces into very thin threads.

Using white threads, create a web on the six-pointed surface, interlacing longer and shorter sections. Connect opposite corners.

Additionally, make small fibers from white plasticine; they will be needed to decorate the rays. Glue a button in the center.

Symmetrically fill all the rays with lint to further decorate your New Year's product.

Add white balls to the recesses between the rays and press each of them with a toothpick; this method of decoration is also suitable.

A magical New Year's craft made from plasticine is ready. Now you need to remember poems and riddles about winter, snow and snowflakes.

How to make original craft gifts for the New Year 2019 with your own hands

Master classes - how to make.

Time runs inexorably forward and now white flies are flying outside the window, slowly falling to the ground and covering everything around with a snow-white fluffy blanket. However, despite the cold, my soul is warm and joyful. And all because suddenly appearing snowflakes herald the coming of the New Year. The most important holiday of the year is already very close, which means it’s time to think about New Year’s decor, gifts and, of course, crafts.

The days are getting shorter and the evenings are getting colder and longer. What to do with yourself, and especially with your little fidgets, when it’s too dark for outdoor winter fun? Well, of course, crafts. New Year's crafts can be made from the most unexpected materials: cocktail straws and much more. But there are also more traditional materials, such as paper. In this article, we have collected for you more than 60 step-by-step master classes on making paper crafts for the New Year. If you still think that only appliques can be made from paper, then drop everything and carefully look at our article! Well, for those who are looking for something unusual and know what miracles can be created from ordinary paper, we can only advise them to immediately begin the process of creating New Year's paper crafts using our patterns and templates.

One of the simplest New Year's paper crafts can rightfully be considered a garland. We all remember well from our childhood how we decorated the Christmas tree with such paper garlands not only at home, but at school or kindergarten. Making a paper garland is very simple: colored paper is cut into strips of the same width, the first strip is glued into a ring, and each subsequent one is threaded into the previous ring and also glued. This paper craft is ideal for 4-5 year olds.

If the task of entertaining children is not important, but you need to decorate the house, then here is another option for a paper garland. It is even easier to do than the previous one, but you will need a sewing machine. So, to create such a New Year's paper craft you will need: many circles of different diameters (the number depends on the size of the garland), a sewing machine. Sew circles through the center using a machine and hang the garland. Such a garland will “come to life” from any gust of air.

So, if you have decided that the issue with garlands is closed and there is nothing more to come up with here, we hasten to upset you - this is only the very tip of the iceberg. Simple paper garlands are an activity for beginners. Professionals prefer more complex tasks, for example, voluminous paper crafts. Below is a master class on making a three-dimensional garland in the form of light bulbs.

By the way, you can decorate an ordinary LED garland with paper lanterns. This New Year's paper craft looks very cool, especially if you decorate a wall with this garland.

Winter holidays are not only a time of celebration and extravaganza, but also a great occasion to make simple and beautiful crafts for the New Year 2019 with your own hands from scrap materials: pine cones, paper, tubes and much more. You can not only show them off at school exhibitions, but also decorate your apartment, but also present them as a priceless gift to your family and friends. So now you will learn 25 crafts for the New Year 2019 that you can make with your own hands from scrap materials. And we’ll start our article with a craft for the symbol of 2019, which is under the sign of the Yellow Earth Pig, and we decided to show you a simple and useful craft that is suitable not only for the New Year, but also for any other holiday.

The symbol of the upcoming 2019 New Year is the Yellow Earth Pig. The silhouette of a pig, as well as its funny face, can be used to create small sofa pillows as gifts for friends.

To make a small pillow, you will need fabric of a suitable color, thread and needle, pencil or soap, filler (hollobifer, etc.).

How to do it:

  1. Make a pattern on the fabric in the form of a silhouette of a pig. It is most convenient to apply a drawing with a pencil or a piece of soap. It must be duplicated in two copies for both sides of the future pillow.
  2. Then you should cut out the pattern and sew it along the edges, leaving a small hole for stuffing with filling. Turn the product inside out, fill it with hollobifer and sew up the hole with the inner seam.
  3. If you are new to sewing, you can make an ordinary square pillow, and then apply a design to it using fabric paints. Children can draw a funny face and snout, and adults can draw a silhouette of a pig.

Symbol of the year felt pig

Even a schoolboy can handle a felt pig. To make a cute keychain symbol of the New Year, you will need:

  • a small piece of pink felt;
  • pink threads;
  • buttons or beads for eyes;
  • sharp scissors;
  • narrow tape;
  • filler (sintepon or cotton wool, hollobyfer);
  • ring or carabiner.

You need to do this:

  1. On a piece of felt you need to draw all the details of the future keychain - two circles of different sizes for the head, one for the snout, four triangles for the ears. Cut out the details and start embroidering the eyes and mouth.
  2. Using a thread that matches the felt, sew a small circle to a large one so that it looks like a heel. Then you need to use beads to mark the pig’s nostrils. Sew two buttons at eye level, and make the mouth out of red beads.
  3. Sew two ears to the body, make a small loop of ribbon at the level of the pig’s head. Sew all the details around the edge. Fill the keychain with cotton wool or synthetic padding and sew up the hole with a hidden seam. Thread a ring through the braid.

Beautiful DIY candlesticks: 3 ideas

One of the popular and understandable gifts for everyone are candlesticks. They can be given to anyone, be it a colleague or a close relative. A young man, a student, and an older person will be happy with such a gift. You can make a candlestick with your own hands from scrap materials, and the cost of the souvenir will please those who do not have a large budget.

To make an original candlestick, you will need a glass cup and regular nail polish of different colors. You can paint any pattern on the outside of the glass using varnishes, and after drying, the pattern will not be erased or washed off with water. The choice of drawing depends only on the preferences and imagination of the author himself.

Idea No. 1

To make an original Christmas tree candlestick, you need a green ribbon, several small branches of spruce or pine, nail polish in white, blue and green, and a small heat-resistant glass cup.

On the outside of the glass you need to draw snowflakes, Christmas trees, or simply write a handwritten greeting for the coming New Year. If the candlestick is large, then you can leave fingerprints on it as a keepsake. On top you need to place several branches around the perimeter of the glass and tie them with ribbon. Make a bow from the ends of the ribbon.

Idea No. 2

A lace candlestick is an original thing that will appeal to the female sex. Place a lace ribbon on a smooth glass made of heat-resistant glass. You can use Moment glue or a glue gun. Don't worry if the edges of the fabric protrude slightly beyond the edges of the glass - this will give the souvenir an additional highlight.

Idea No. 3

A small candlestick made of twigs is a good gift for those who appreciate things made with their own hands and know how to use them in the interior. Along the perimeter of a transparent glass glass, small twigs cut to the size of the container are glued using a glue gun. The branches must be dry, pre-treated with an antiseptic. If such a present seems small for a gift, then you can make a few more candlesticks of different sizes to complete it. They will look great on a shelf together.

Scented bath bombs

A gift in the form of a set of bath bombs looks stylish and original. With the help of such balls you can perfectly relieve tension and relax in a foam bath. The products are completely safe for human health, since they contain only natural ingredients that do not cause allergies.

To make a bomb with your own hands, you will need:

  • 4 tablespoons of baking soda;
  • 2 tablespoons of citric acid;
  • A few drops of any essential oil;
  • 2 tablespoons of cosmetic sea salt.

Mix all dry ingredients thoroughly in a separate container, add a few drops of your favorite essential oil. For example, you can use essential oil of lavender, bergamot, orange or lemon, rose. Then the mixture must be gradually moistened with water from a spray bottle until it begins to hold its shape when squeezed. When the powder can be used to make snowballs, this means that bombs can be formed. The mixture can be compacted tightly into any shape, making funny bears for children or a flower for adults. In this position, the bomb should dry for several days, after which it can be used.

Instead of colored food dyes, you can use natural ones - coffee, colored sea salt, cocoa.

Boot for gifts

A handmade boot for gifts is a wonderful interior decoration. Even a beginner can sew it and give it to every family member. To do this, you need to draw a pattern of the required size on paper and cut out all the details of the future product from it. Then they are sewn together using a machine, choosing a stitch that is not too small. Remember that the boot must have a lining, which is also sewn according to a paper pattern. The lining is secured to the top of the boot with a hidden seam, after which a loop is attached so that the souvenir can be hung on a hook.

  3. We wrap the skewers with braid and cover them with brown paint.
  4. We paint the thread ball with golden paint.
  5. Glue the skewers to the basket and secure them to the ball.

Interesting crafts made from beads and wire

A very original craft for the New Year 2019, which is very easy to make if you have the necessary materials:

  • Dense and thin wire;
  • Beads and seed beads.

Craft making process:

  1. We use thick wire to make the shape of a future souvenir.
  2. We attach a thin wire to the resulting frame and begin to string beads on it in different orders.
  3. We wrap the frame and secure the end of the wire, so our bead craft is made with our own hands. (She will be 100% satisfied!)
